EDIT 2: I also predict their next victims/people who come for help/counselling will also include men, but that does not erase the blatant misogyny here. I get that the MC is not supposed to be likable and that he is a POS, so yeah, his misogynistic thoughts and views on his predominantly female patients line up with that, but I don't think the misogyny is going to ever not be there in this story. If it is ever present and permeates throughout the story and every woman is portrayed as hysterical overtly dramatic annoying bitches not worthy of respect then we know what the author truly thinks. Even if the character is an unreliable narrator, there should be some incidents that peak through to show that the POS mc is, in fact, unreliable. And if the only female characters that do get respect are ones that show more stereotypical male characteristics, then boy, oh, boy, the misogyny allegations ain't beat.

eh i interpreted the scene of him masterbating was not to the girl or guy themselves, but the thrill and horror steming from guy's terrifying violence in combination with his beauty, and the desire to be killed and devoured in a similar fashion by him. he prob masterbates specifically to these childhood scenes bc they are the only memories of that "stimulation" he has access to. like if they were adults in that scene, he would've still masterbated to it. drawing the conclusion that mc is a pedo is a stretch and throwing nuance out the window. if the scene was insinuating mc is a pedo, i imagined the scene's protrayal would be drastically different, so i think the author does a good job not crossing the line while still making it disturbing. i think it just happens to be a young girl bc it's supposed to establish how unapologetically evil the ml is, preying on the weakest members of society. and, not to render ur argument invalid, but there's literally only three chapters out, so forming assuptions about the worst of the author when its prob ur first time seeing their work, is not open-minded and just jumping on the hate train. as for misogyny, i dont have have a strong stance, cuz, three chapters. i could be wrong, u could be wrong, whatever. but this is quite clearly a psychological horror story focused on the two's dynamic, so i doubt writing female charas who are worthy of respect or masculine, beyond just being foils advancing the plot or emphasizing the two's fucked up self, would be their priority.

I'm only speaking for myself but I don't love this series I just wanna see its ending.
Yuri has been choosing Aono over and over and over again over herself and even her own life, like literally. She knew him less than a week and even Aono himself found that so odd. She unknowingly (but also willingly) let him bind himself to her like a parasite. It seems it’s time for her to choose, is it him or is it herself, just as it was the unfortunate choice Aono had to make with his god awful abusive mother. She had that weird dependence on Aono, similar to the dependence his mother had on him so she probably had to play that part this entire time, the only difference being that his mother was a broken woman who was extremely selfish and Yuri was entirely self sacrificial (maybe that was selfish in a way too? Aono didn’t want her to do that). Perhaps now that she has seen more value in herself, perhaps she now wants to live and experience new things, she has to kill Aono metaphorically and literally to get through this. She’s finally thinking about herself and breaking out of an abusive pattern, or at least has the capacity to. Just as Aono once had to do, and now she is Aono, and he is his mother. His end was tragic though, let’s see what happens here. Excellent story, I just wish they left out a lot of the weird sex stuff cause I don’t want to see that shit about middle schoolers.

She wants to take out her sexual frustration, she wants to feel used but in a controlled way so she can hate Doyeon and what she represents (projects on) to her in a safe space, safe because she knows Doyeon will never leave her. Jinjoo is despicable.
