I understand why YuYang is hesitant but you can't keep invalidating someone's feelings like that, if you don't try how do you know that the outcome will definitely be negative, you will just be stuck distrusting forever, chasing someone is tiring after a while, but in the end it is YuYang's choice and I don't want him to do something he really does not want to
But if Yuyang accepted, wouldn't that be invalidating his own feelings? His fears are quite clear and very within the realm of possibility, I think it's only right that he protect himself. But you're right about the distrusting forever part, sooner or later, the cycle will have to be broken if Yuyang wants to ever love someone, but it'll take time. And I think Lihuan is patient enough for that, and I think he will be even more patient if Yuyang told him his reasoning for rejecting.
My dude, I am not saying he needs to accept, I am saying that his constant disbelief in Lihuan's feelings is invalidating, he can't just keep going on and saying "yeah, but he doesn't know what he is saying or feeling, it's just curiosity, I don't believe him," I don't want him to accept if he doesn't want to but he can't keep assuming and thinking he knows Lihuan's feelings better than Lihuan himself. And it definitely is miscommunication on both parties, YuYang doesn't voice out his concerns and would rather avoid them and Lihuan just doesn't explore his sexuality and talk to YuYang about it, saying I only like you of the same gender is shaky at best, but I feel Lihuan has been far more transparent, but, it will happen when they are ready, its okay. Lihuan shouldn't do anything he isn't ready not to and YuYang shouldn't either.
Ah, that makes sense. In that case, we pretty much agree on everything. I only hope that Yuyang doesn't let his anxiety fester for too long, and if he does talk to Lihuan about his concerns, it would give Lihuan a chance to come out with his feelings and intentions wholeheartedly. I think it's really important that Yuyang says his piece AND that he properly listens to Lihuan's piece without overriding it with his own renditions.

I just had higher hopes - that YuYang could voice his concerns and discuss things - that he could say, I have these worries about dating you ... and explaining how he feels, rather than assuming things.... I would not expect YuYang to just say they could date knowing LiHuan's lack of experience and the fact that he does not identify as gay.
