"I won't be able to love her the way she wants me to... but I'll be good to her." Motherfucker it's not your choice, it was hers and you robbed her of it. Selfishhhhhhhh. Also you wanted to repay her by returning her feelings???? Ewwwwww, you deigning to grant another person access to your pity and guilt isn't the big gift you think it issss, you loved her love, you felt so safe in her love that you and your asshole friends were so sure, SO SURE, that she would always love you and always try to get you back, that she was always yours, welp, feel that absence like she felt the absence of your romantic love throughout your relationship, the absence of something she was never truly able to articulate basically being in a constant state of low key gaslighting because you neeeever told her that you could never feel for her what she expected and thought she would recieve

okay, he was definitely wrong in letting that relationship go on for so long and not communicating his feelings effectively but i can't help but feel, reading comments like this, that Iseon is being blamed for a two way problem. when they got together yu-min could definitely tell that he didn't feel the same intensity for her that she did him but chose to enter the relationship anyway.

and i don't think him dating her was meant to be a 'gift' or 'deigning' to pity her. it's clear it was more just a mix of him constantly being told by everyone around them that that they'd be a good couple just because they were a man & woman who were good friends (heteronomativity is one hell of a drug), her constantly being around and 'helping' his family during a tough time and constantly dropping hints here and there that she'd like to be more.

let's face the facts, yu-min was definitely emotionally manipulative to get into a relationship with him and this whole situation is a mess of her own making as much as it is his. and let's not forget that he was an immature, confused kid who had a lot on his shoulders (emotionally & financially) when he chose to date her.

i think it's good that they're finally having good, clear conversations about why their relationship blew up the way it did. and that each side should be allowed to be as confused, sad, and angry as they want so as to make the apologies more effective in the long run. anyways, i can't wait for season 2. (^-^)/

Financially??? Didn’t they start dating in college? Was he working extra jobs to support the family? I don’t remember that but I could be wrong. I agree she was emotionally manipulative but he has said multiple times, even when he chose to date her, that he pities her and that he would date her for everything she’s done for his family because he’s thankful (that’s fucked up but I feel like this was indeed Yumin’s plan but she also thought he would fall for her by her being there for him. Little did she know he actually couldn’t). Other than his family pressuring them to be together I don’t think anyone else was???? His friend(s) knew and the way they spoke about her throughout the story was disgusting. Her friends and family are chill. She never directly pressured him to start dating. I don’t think you can blame heteronormativity on this one because that frankly wasn’t even in his thoughts at the time. He was at peace with being aromantic at the time and it isn’t as though the alternative would have been visibly ostracising. He wasn’t confused about that.

Let me amend that of course heteronormativity is still an overarching evil presence though, possibly the biggest push he even gave the relationship a chance, because he wanted to still feel the love he is constantly told about even though he was at peace with being aromantic and wasn’t confused by that. But he found Yumin’s expression of love so beautiful and comforting that he’s like “you know what, why the heck not? Let’s give it a try” (that’s selfish for me, but they’re both selfish, also I don’t think her number one goal in helping out the family was solely to date him, she also has a strong bond with the teacher outside of her relationship with him)

Waiiiit, another amendment, sorry, he didn’t want to feel the love he heard about but instead was like if it’s Yumin who’s love is so beautiful and warm I think this could work, the other amendment on my part was a little bit big of a jump in conclusions on my part. He never said he wanted to try the love he’s heard about because once again, he was at peace with orientation and has found a friend(s) who were accepting of it (once again the way his friends talk about Yumin is disgusting). Yeah so even though heteronormativity is always an overarching evil presence always I don’t think it was the main reason at all why he got with Yumin. There wasn’t as big of a push as you portray it to be, as though he was put in between a rock and a hard place and he couldn’t help but go where the current was pushing him lest he fall to danger. He was at peace and his main reason for being with her was feeling sorry towards her and wanting to pay her back.

Ahrin you crazy motherfucker… literally and figuratively. I just looked at the raws for ch 63 and
here’s no ambiguity, she wants her step mother carnally. Of course that is if the stepmother having nightmares of being molested by Ahrin and Ahrin straight saying she wanted to touch the stepmom’s boobs while they (two grown adults) bathed together in a tub was ambiguous for you. Jo sik and Ahrin were getting hot and heavy and she seemed to enjoy it like a normal human being until while she was being done she imagined her stepmother sitting on the corner of the bed holding her hand. And Jo sik was really freaking hot!!!! Geez

Noooooo guys, noooooooooo, literally no one knows the true Remilia, Emi’s Remilia is not her real self and she doesn’t truly become Emi’s Remilia either. She is a cunning, charming, lovable villainess, but still a villainous villainess none the less. And we love that about her, she isn’t a cliched tortured person who just needed unconditional love, she is still pretty evil and she never makes excuses for it, never once in her internal dialogue did she ever say she was truly a good person with just morals, in fact she has still never shown anyone her true self, not even Emi, and here’s the crazy part guys, the only people who truly know who Remilia is, who she really is, is the people she captured in her own pocket dimension that represented the cavernous emptiness in her being, no doubt already dead or near dead from experimentation, and us, we the readers. That is it. No one else knows her truly. If you need more convincing on why she is still a villainess, she has never denied this to herself, and by extension to us, here are just a few villainous deeds:

1: She deliberately non consensually showed footage of Pina engaging in anal sex and used that society’s bigoted distaste for the act (both misogynistic and homophobic) to basically beat a dead horse. She easily could have concealed it and not shown it, it really wasn’t necessary.
2: Pina’s ending is worse than death. Truly. It is worse than death, being killed would be better than that. She could’ve just been in jail man, or maybe an execution.
3:She married Angel but first lead him to believe she truly returned his feelings of earnest love in the same way. She is a lie, Emi’s Remilia is a beloved spectre kept alive by Remilia but is in no way real.
4:She’s doing fucked up shit with souls, the bodies of kids that are not only hers but Angel’s too, idk about you but I wouldn’t want my spouse to go behind my back and manipulate and choose which soul to put in our kid, specifically hunt out the soul of someone who was the ultimate family to her and then deliberately give birth to them. It seems very fucked up in a way I can’t articulate. Angel just doesn’t have a choice, he is never given the choice to make an informed decision about anything. Truly, she didn’t need to marry him, if she wanted to do this weird soul manipulation shit she could have done it with donors.

For some freaking reason I totally forgot that Remilia was possessed when she was a kid and not at like 18-19 years old, maybe a few years younger than Emi who possessed her, but the fact is Emi was a grown ass adult with a job when she possessed Remilia and, once again, Remilia was a kid so nope, there was no romantic love Remilia had for Emi. It’s more like Emi was all encompassing family to her, her mother, father, sister, brother, everything. There is no doomed yuri here guys, I feel like a lot of us got amnesia about the ages of when the possession occurred, perhaps because that entire beginning was glossed over and the story truly started for me when Remilia repossessed her body and started her vengeance. Despite everything I still think the birth thing is weird af

I clicked the wrong reaction button wait srry o(TヘTo) also yeah the birth thing is iffy but atleast the cant finally interact instead of just observing each other ig :]

The first thing I thought when I started reading the epilogue and saw Emi and Remilia together was oooooooffff sorry Angel but Emi is unfortunately Remilia’s greatest love both romantic and platonic… Unfortunately she always has been and always will be, the epilogue slaps you in the face with it… Sucks to suck I guess, Angel, though you’re hot as hell and probably deserve better… Damn… and then she PROCEEDS TO OFFER TO GIVE BIRTH TO HER SOUL AND EMI FREAKING ACCEPTS THAT SHIT???? BRUHHHHHH?????????? ALSO EMI WHY THE FUCK DID YOU ACCEPT THAT AND NOT SAY UHHHH MAYBE I WANT TO BE BORN TO ANOTHER FAM OR SMTH???? BRUHHHHH???? THERE WAS NOTHING SOLELY PLATONIC OR FAMILIAL ABOUT THE WAY REMILIA THOUGHT ABOUT EMI THIS ENTIRE FREAKING MANGA

I don’t know why any of you even sort of like the step mom, just remember the first time she met Ahrin, anyone who can treat a defenseless kid with such sadism isn’t a good person in my book, she couldn’t hurt or change anyone else’s mind with any semblance of power (her husband), so she turned to someone she does have power over who cannot retaliate against her, a little kid whose mother abandoned her. She purposely kept her away from education and isolated her all her life. Idc if her husband loves some other lady, she doesn’t love him either, they are with each other for social and wealth reasons

toastyBooksAndTea May 24, 2025 8:14 pm

I don’t see why Lucas and Vincent felt the need to stop Ethan from killing their elder brother????? Like what????????? No one is even trying to stop this man at all, he’s just running amok doing whatever evil shit just because Ethan can’t kill his brother?????????????????? There were no consequences and he can just proceed to do whatever he wants???????? Also Ethan kinda knew this but was like eh, it’s worth keeping him around even if he kills a father figure, blinds my best friend while trying to kill my other brother, it’s totally fiiiiiine, let me just ignore this ahaha
