Seeing the year this was released, I really didn’t expect much. It didn’t help that it’s not an art style I’m particularly fond of (thou I must admit that the love scenes are quite sensual LoL) so I kinda started feeling it’s one of those mangas I won’t bother finishing. Boy, was I wrong.... after the first volume, I was hooked. In fact, I stayed the whole night just to finish it all! I especially loved Reiji x Naoya and the twins x Kiichi’s stories. Reiji x Shiki x Takamiya did leave a tinge of sadness in my heart. It was rather tragic how Shiki passed away thou I guess he was truly very happy until the end, having fulfilled and expressed his love for Reiji. All 3 mc’s (Reiji, Takamiya, Kiichi) didn’t just have mindless fucks and shallow relationships, they were actually passionate lovers.
As one reader pointed out, the art work did improve beautifully that at the end, I can’t help wishing there was more of Reiji x Naoya story as the latter grew up to be a gorgeous young man!
To cut my rambling, to anyone thinking of reading Love Mode, please do so. It’s easily in my top 10 all time favourite BL/yaoi manga, and trust me, I’ve read a lot!
Ps. Does anyone know which Carpenter song Reiji and Takamiya played on the piano for Shiki? Tell me please!
I don't think he was molested, just that his father beat him up pretty bad. I think their father had the conception that Kichii was weak, so he'd beat him up and Kichii won't be able to reciprocate.
Though I still fail to understand why their father hated Kichii so much...Just because he had long hair and looked girly? I don't think thats all...maybe I missed something?
It is so nice to have someone feel exact the same way as me about the story. I am absolutely love this manga. About reiji and kiichi, I kinda feel it too( the forbidden love). But i think it just approach the border and never cross it. So happy that these two could find their true love later.
No, only licensed in german and italy. English publishers almost licensed super lovers but becuz of the content has "so-called incest" or brother love or something, they dun want to publish it.

I can understand that, ONLY to a degree... But tbh, there's really no incest issue here since they're not blood related at all. Even the age gap (17/24) should be non-issue, but then, we do live in a politically-correct world. Ho-hum

How fucking stupid of them, considering there have been way more controversial titles licensed in the past. Ren and Haru aren't even blood-related.

Anyways time to learn German or Italian I guess...

A couple of questions:
Did anyone feel there was a bit of almost forbidden love between Reiji and Kiichi? Look here page 11 & 12 > http://www.mangago.zone/read-manga/love_mode/mf/v11/c003/1/
Same pages as above, was Kiichi molested by their father?
Let me know what you think!
