Legit what are you talking about?? How are the evil characters drawn ugly? Veronica, her knight, the saint,and the other people (forgot their names) all range from somewhat attractive to good looking. They're just drawn with a lot of expression kinda like the characters of Kakegurui. Where are the ugly evil people? Also I wouldn't describe the villains as one dimensional, they all have good stories/concepts but I can admit that the execution and portrayals of those stories were done trashily.

I wouldnt go that far tbh, the cannibal guy was a good dad event hough he turned his family into cannibals, the researcher started out and committed her atrocities with the mindset of making major scientific breakthroughs, they show the princess as more or less being at least a bit manipulated to act part of the way and if you want to talk about gray area characters I'd say the mobs of civilians cover that pretty well, being as their feelings and loyalties are ebbing and flowing with whatever the monarchy tells them is the truth while I agree the characters don't have a great deal of dimension, this is a story told from the point of view of someone who once believed in them and now views them as completely 100% evil with no redeeming qualities. If they showed the story from his viewpoint before being betrayed, it'd be a completely different set of characters

Revenge stories are fun for me just because of the feeling of catharsis you get from seeing them get fcked up. Also, I agree with the others above me. None of the characters are really ugly. Some are supposed to be handsome or beautiful, but they have a lot more exaggerated facial expressions when they’re being cornered. It’s also almost like their showing their true ugly personalities.

Where is the revenge porn? Don't confuse this with redo of healer.

Yeah, I get that the villains are one-dimensional characters and the victims seem to not have done any wrong in their lives. But for me, it's what it makes it comfortable for me to read. The villains are not humanized so I can just have my revenge porn.

Have you not seen how there's a clear distinction between "evil" civilians and "good" civilians/mob characters? The evil ones are drawn with crooked noses/teeth and mad eyes while the good ones are drawn with big inocent droopy eyes. Even a kindergartener could pinpoint exactly who is the bad guy.
And by a lot of expression you mean the aheago faces they keep making whenever evil deeds? How do you expect me to take them seriously when just act like stereotypical one dimensional evil rap1sts? Can you even imagine actual real life evil people like Hitler, Stalin and so on making faces like they just cummed in their panties whenever they committed crimes against humanity?
And what is their reason for doing all the things the did? Their actions make absolutely no sense other than being evil sadists for the sake of being evil sadists.

Man, not even the researchers in nazi Germany or ww2 japan did their horrific research on their own people, on their own soliders so how does it make sense that their rulers allow and finance crimes done against thrir own people ?

The main villains are mostly known as beautiful and handsome people(princess, saintess, the cannibal guy, the researcher, etc). It’s also the creative liberties of the artist to show their fcked up side as they revel in their evil deeds. We’re SUPPOSED to hate the villains since it’s a power fantasy revenge story. Also, it’s a comic so of course we’re not supposed to be expecting realism when it comes to that stuff. Like, they’re not real and they’re characters. There’s literally magic and it’s set in a different world and they all behave exaggeratedly, which is like a number one thing you learn as an artist(the author just goes full exaggerated). If it was a realistic setting and the story is supposed to be grounded(like a shoujo or something) then sure, I see your argument. However, that’s not the type of story this is, and I think it’s unfair to judge it like so when it’s not aiming to be a realistic story with realistic villains who have “their own story” or something. It’s a story solely for people who want to read a revenge fantasy, and it makes us really hate the “villains” as they literally, as you would put it, orgasm from being fcking evil motherfckers.

Anyway, your point about ugly villains is so invalid, like, did you even read it? There were def some ugly bad guys, but there’s also good-looking bad guys(which was a lot since a lot of this is about how they fool the populace and past raoul because they looked like nice people on the outside). Like, did you want the entire villain cast to be only good-looking people and for everybody that seems like a good guy “ugly” people?

Revenge porn in a media context doesn't have to include actual porn to be classified as such. Revenge porn can basically mean a type of media in which the viewer draws a sadistic satisfaction from the act of complete and utter revenge that a character in said media does against someone who wronged them.
So yeah it is revenge porn, just without the actual porn.

I was talking about the mob/civilian characters when i was talking about the ugly/pretty thing so my point still sands. Sure, the main cast looks normal but the civilians that are blindly listening to authority are most of the times drawn as "ugly" because let's be honest here, what is the easiest way to make your audience hate mob characters in mangas? make them unattractive looking of course.

Anyway, all I've said is my take on the story. I'm not trying to take away anyone's enjoyment of fantasty empowerment revenge porn stories like this one. But at the end of the day it shouldn't be revered as more then what it is and that is plain and simple trash entertainment.

Also i agree that redo the healer is waaaay worse than this manga. But at the same time i can't bring myself not to notice the similarities. If this manga is a simple empowerment fantasty revenge porn then redo the healer is just that but made for an audience of sexualy frustrated incels.

I'm sorry if i offended you or anyone somehow but i want to believe that anything deserves criticism, even brain-turn-off stories.

They experimented on their soldiers to make super soldiers, which is/was very common actually. Including in national Germany where a good portion of their own soldiers were on p much meth in an attempt to make better soldiers
