I believe that he was in a relationship with a guy (in the photo he is next to someone that seems a guy) that was afraid of their relationship being discovered. He says in the last bit “i’m jealous, he isn’t afraid of showing the relationship”. So he is also gay, but his boyfriend (ex-boyfriend ?) made him keep his hair long so that people wouldn’t know that he is a guy.
