As a novel reader that visited latest chapter to see DKOS, I don't understand why is hsy mentioned as his lover?? Iirc there's nothing going on between them in the novel?
I think that it's fine either way. It's most definitely misleading, but I don't think that they meant anything by it. I say this because when the line about his parents popped up, they showed people who were obviously not his parents. I think that it's supposed to resemble an epic animation scene where the main character has a new awakening to a way of thinking, and as he says his thoughts, the animation shows his past meetings of his friends and how much they've grown.
At least, that's what I think...
