The reason Il didn't want Yona to marry Soo-Won, is because he knew about the crimson dragon illness, and didn't want Yona's children to have it.
I didn't used to care about him and thought he was annoying. I was with Pan because I was closer to his age than Red Head, and understand how much an age gap like that doesn't usually work. Not that it can't, but if it was more like 10 years, that would be a huge percent increase in the likelihood of it working out. However, as their story progressed, I started to lean more towards Red Head because even if Pan didn't plan for a long relationship, he was kind of mean to the kid at times, and lying is not ok when it comes to developing trust. Then he finally broke me when he started crying, and I was like "Ok, who hurt my baby?!" (I know who, but I was just making a point).
Agreed, I don't hate him either, but he definitely should have handled that better.
I've missed that setting and the consorts, so this will be interesting.
Of course, what we all suspected came out to be true, that Jinshi is not a eunuch, so I suspect many more things will come to light. Like what exactly IS Jinshi's mission? Why disguise himself? Hmm, and when will my Mao Mao and Jinshi ship sail? Just the important questions.....
Especially Kags right now! How he grew after being told he didn't have to hold back anymore brings a tear to my eye.

Please, I can't handle the pure, golden sunshine that is Yuan! Every time I see him, I feel like my sins get washed away and I am cleansed. The sadness in Huan Wen's eyes was drawn so well, I felt scared. That is a deep depression he must have been going through, and still is. Yuan is exactly what he needs, and I hope Huan Wen can try and want more, and to start being greedy about his life. I love Yuyang and Lihuan, but boy are these two equally up there.
But we finally have a confession and understanding! At least for the most part, there's still lots to get through, but this is the biggest development we've had for a very long time! We could be entering the final arc, here, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I've been reading this since I was in high school, which was over 10 years ago, and to think it's coming to a close is bittersweet.
This was so sweet! Even though they weren't friends, they each respected the other and thought the other the "brave" one. And now they are growing into good friends. It makes me cry happy tears! So, I think for the longest time, Huan Wen was just not interested in anybody until Yuan came into his life. And even at first, it seemed like he wasn't trying to like him particularly either, but now hearing his story and thinking about these last few weeks, or however long, they've been hanging out, he's starting to catch these feels. And I am here for all of it!
That guard is going to be in for it when Jinshi finds out what happened, if not already from Rakan. I'm looking forward to the aftermath of this and what Jinshi does at this point.
