Seriously, I totally forgot to think of this, but yeah, why did King Il have to die for his plan? I wonder if Kye-sook was more "hands on" in this plot than he let's on. Maybe all the way back to getting Yuhon killed so that Soo-won has a motive for revenge and getting the throne? I mean, it's true we don't know much about Il, maybe he really did kill his brother, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a set-up either.

I thought the king would have put more of an effort to stop the engagement, since he is pretty particular about who she interacts with. Or that Jinsu would be more angry, but at least I can get his logic. In that it's his best friend and at the moment, he can't marry her, so this is the best option. Does this mean he plans to get her back somehow? Curious to what the law says on that. Also thought the friend was gay, so I was confused on why he would want to touch her, but maybe he's bi or actually straight, and was just fooling around before.

The group of men from before whatever sort of imperial council/authority group they are a part of we’re the ones who took care of the princess marriages, it’s tradition I guess basically and if the king were to strip that away from the council then it would be seen as an act of abuse of power for the council’s rights of choosing the marriage partners for the princess would be taken away

I've just read all the chapters so far, and I love this series! Some flaws here and there, but overall love the mystery.
Now for this chapter, the parts with her dad were so cute. He's really trying. I have a bone to pick with Sanghee though. He just asked her if she could comprehend the book, which is a safe question, and told her she was safe no matter what anyway. But she STILL questioned it and wondered if it would be ok because of WHAT she read and not that she could read it at all. Like, really? I know she has grown up with this mentality of being careful, but it really stunts the progress of the story.

I feel bad I haven't heard of them before, but maybe I have and forgot, but I know them now and was just watching some of their live performances and WOW are they good!!
LiHuan and Yuyang are way too cute! I think they should take that proposal seriously and just get married now, lol. I totally get what YuYang means. After my fist serious relationship, I suddenly felt like all the songs were talking about us. From when we started to when we ended and beyond.
That hurt so much when Yuan made that announcement. Like, it's such a universal feeling when the one you have been crushing on says they are into someone else, and they don't even know you like them, so they keep talking about that person. It makes it hurt more.
I wonder if when he saw Hak and Gulfan, he collapsed and said "What are you doing" to himself because it is now just hitting him how much he has lost to get where he is today. Not so much that he didn't think of the consequences before, but after all this time, he has started to get weary from all the consequences of his actions, and how few people he has around him that he really has a connection with, like he used to. This is putting a toll on his health and making him sick right now.
I'm also really looking forward to hearing what he has to say to "dream Yona!"
