Uhmmm I don't understand why everyone is hating Alec as usual. But if you will remember his actions from the past it was so he could give Hen little bits of his pheromones which just made worse by Ivan. Don't get me wrong, I really love the relationship between Ivan and Hen, I still want them to be together even without Alec. In fact, I want Alec out of the relationship already. But the marks already getting out of hand so he had to do it, to have sex with Hen. He didn't rape Hen, there's nothing they could do. He invited Ivan because he knew Hen wanted him the most but Ivan alone can't fix Hen. Remember he's the one who suggested Hen bring to the hospital and Ivan told him that medicines don't work on him. That's why he suggested that.

This leads to the threesome because who Hen wants is Ivan but who he needs is Alec. Alec knew that Ivan's pheromones make Hen's mark worse yet he's still there because Alec considers Hen's feeling.
