Cant really blame the ML too much. The fact that he has terrible headache whenever he tried to do something nice and only relieve upon interacting with Elize is enough to prove that either he is under effect of spell or simply drugged. Looks like he is also under some sort of constraints, just like Edith.
Curious to see how this one would end.
