Seriously wish more “historical” manhwa were written like this. The slower pacing (which imo is close to the perfect pacing) is perfect for developing the characters and showing their goals, motivations, and character building to the audience. Let me learn about the characters and see them grow as themselves first. I want to hear and see their story. Not see another copy paste romance

To the ppl who think mc is pretty its really bc of the artist’s art style tbh. Tho i will say she is a more plain looking character compared to other characters, and it was her family who beat her up all the time so ppl who saw her probably only remember her image in bruises. She let the words of her family affect her bc what else is she supposed to do? She grew up in that environment. Id say shes actually more average looking than ugly when u compare what is considered “pretty” in the manhwa. I do think she is really pretty in my eyes bc of the art style tho. I think this manhwa does a better job of drawing a plain jane than most manhwa who say their fl’s are ugly
