I am so lost I did not understand the ending of chapter 30 or any of chapter 31

But like what I got from the ending is that the creepy guy was kinda shit talking the boss and our FL was like you don't know shit so shut up
And about the company issues I have no idea where that came from I think it's cause of the translation or perhaps I just don't remember the previous chapters properly but regardless I don't know/understand anything about that

Bruh who is translating this occasionally I run into translations where it seems like it was translated by a person who thinks they know what a person from England talks like but doesn’t actually. You can’t tell me an English person is translating this cuz there’s just no way nobody talks like this irl

I translated it actually. I have been to England only once in my life and have no idea what English people sound like and the criticism I get from actual English people on these translations ranges from “the fakest nonsense ever, no one has ever talked like this” to “extremely authentic, sounds straight from Hackney, I was really surprised to learn you weren't actually born and raised in London”

Well, I don't speak in working class London English myself, though I'm not a native speaker of English to begin with.
The reason for it is that many of the Japanese characters are speaking in fairly working class, rough city Japanese or stereotypical teenage speak and I was searching for something to translate that to. It was either working class London English or Boston English which I'm even worse at and since it's often very stereotypical Tokyo working class dialect which is the capital, I felt that using London working class dialect was fitting since it's the capital as well. I tend to translate it to standard English when they're speaking standard Japanese, which they mostly do in this title anyway because it's an office setting, they only start to speak in rough language when they're angry.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the timeline and setting… basically, the rules of their universe.
It’s confusing. FL died, and she transmigrated into someone else’s body inside a novel from Korea. Meanwhile, ML is from that novel originally but he went to FL’s world in Korea by following the saintess. When he dies in FL’s world, he just goes back in time and back to his world but is still himself. What really confuses me is the Saintess is a character written into the novel. However, she also exists in the real world in Korea? That part is a bit weird to me because how can she be both a fictional and real person? In this universe, FL is a real person supposedly while ML is fictional. So how does the Saintess fit into that if she is a real person but was written into the novel??? Hopefully that makes sense.
Additionally, there’s the thing about espers and guides. In the real world of FL, espers and guides basically classify everyone in society. Every person is either an esper or guide, so it’s not particularly anything special. Being an esper or guide is just like any other trait/characteristic for them like brown or blonde hair or blue eyes or brown etc. however, being an esper or guide is for some reason a special characteristic in the novel, as only ML, his brother, and the saintess have those characteristics. To me, that’s a little odd because we have to assume the author of the novel is from FL’s world, where espers and guides are just everyday life. It’s strange to me that the author made the ML and brother and Saintess being espers and a guide special characteristics considering it’s normal in her world.
At the end of the day, I know it’s not that serious lol but it is something I was thinking about while reading. It’d be nice if the author explains it at some point

the sainteness is from korea
lemme simplify
historical world = ciel + pink haired FL
korea= saintess + dead wife
saintess has power to open portals to other dimensions
she goes to historical world ->>meet ciel
ciel goes with her to korean dimension under saintess guise of - bring more guides from korea-
in korea ciel meets dead wife, she dies lalala we know
he goes back to historical with saintess
he goes back in time - 2 weeks
saintess is just the character who connects both dimensions
in historical dimension espers and guides are just not common, it might be due to the fact that it's something new
orrr their aren't enough guides so espers go all crazy and turn into monsters that are killed by espers who can get guiding
personally i think it's a combo of both

I love FL but I will say, this kind of storyline tends to frustrate me a little. I’m not a huge fan of when FL decides fo try and help get two characters together and then ends up falling in love with the guy and kinda works against her plan but still verbally claims to be helping them (even tho she is literally interfering). I’d much rather her either pick to help the OG 2nd ML and the OGFL get together full send and the 2nd ML decide to chase her on his own or fully commit to liking him and going with the flow.
I hate that FL is literally given an out in this marriage. She could have the money she needs but she doesn’t take it?? Girl, he doesn’t love you
I honestly doubt that lady has enough money to give her…
Theyre insanely rich. The wealth of these people is kinda a major plot point... not sure if you missed that
I didn't miss it…but do u get that the family is rich…not the “mom” herself, if she had any real power or money she would have prevented this marriage from happening in the first place duhhh lol now all she can do is bluff and give empty threats so typical
As much as I agree with you, you would have to consider that even if they did have have so much money, they would still be powerless against something that could break relationships with shareholders/ the public etc, something that could damage their reputation beyond being savable.
Yeah I agree, thats why the mother in law is mad stupid, regardless id money divorce would be really bad press - especially in Japan where they value “family values.” Also if we go into real life - did they even sing a prenup or something? Its not that easy to divorce in japan.
