Well given the whole delima with all the priest bs at the beginning of the chapter might point towards maybe her actually not dieing will count as a "miracle" so she properly qualifies as a saintess or something, idk. That's the only thing I can think of given the first half of the chapter acting as foreshadowing and the cardinal being all like look! She's alive! It's a miracle! She really is a saintess and I get to keep my cardinal title!
Riftan has one of those ml traits where he cares/loves the fl so much and wants her to be safe so bad that he basically turns her into a prisoner. Means well, but prison is for felons not your wife
