It's fun reading the comments. Like, guys, what did you expect? This series never came across as a cute, sweet, wholesome series. We all came in expecting toxicity, and my goodness were my expectations exceeded. You can't get butthurt because the toxic series you were reading ended up being... toxic XD

Maybe, but even BJ was toxic. Also this series started out with a way stronger power imbalance dynamic than BJ. It's gunna get way worse before it gets better, and you'd think by this point of the story, people would know what to expect. This shit is painter of the night level. Okay, so I did some history on the mythology, and ironically Anubis is older and the original god of death in Egyptian mythology. Osiris took his place later and Anubis became more specialized in funeral proceedings instead of death overall. So ya... Take that as you will, I realize that this entire story is loosely based of the original mythological origins anyway, just thought that was intresting and worth a share XD
People are all bashing the priest, but he only litterally met MC at that moment. He knew nothing about her previously. Plus he figured it out fairly fast. I don't blame him. I probably would have done the same in I met a stranger and if they were smooth about it.

I agree in general, but she slipped up a couple times when they were talking. That could be a translation thing? It made him seem very innocent, though, which I think is the overall purpose of it.

I'm so confused. I thought this was a go back in time type story, not a rebirth or Transmigration. How on earth does MC know about Korea or things related to Korea or Earth?
In her first live she reincarnated as a baby and well everything went wrong and she died agian then rebirth happened

Okay for the peeps confused. There are TWO TIMELINES!!! ML went back in time, probably using her regret pill. So he has memories of MC that she does not have of him. He did it to make sure they never meet, because all he did in the last life was cause her pain. That's how he knows she's a mermaid, and why there's so many weird scenes about her being really mean when it seems like they've never met before, it's because she doesn't remember it, it was in a different timeline!
