They just dont care about any of this. The same way some people feel uncomfortbale about gay relationship, some dont like age gaps. To them it doesnt matter if there is true love, if everyone involved is healthy and happy they just dont like it. God when I was 16 I already knew what was good for me, what I liked and what I disliked, I dont see anything weird or abusive in a relationship between 16 and 30, as long as both are happy. We dont even know if Joel actually likes Chase, all we know is that everything is A LOT BETTER for everyone involved yet I guess people dont like what they dont like, we have to respect it. Anyways thats their loss, cause people like us can enjoy this one 100% and they cant hahahahhaha

How about being a good father first? Jesse expressed his discomfort about the relationship before. All Joel did was to pamper and be good to Chase, what about his son. Aside from providing money, watching movies with Jesse, what else did he do? Asking his friend to spy on him, siding with his friend when they have an argument. What kind of father is that ?
You know you have all the right in this big world to face things in this obviously COMEDY story that way, youre not wrong at all, thanks to that instead of being laughing all the time when you read it you get stuck thinking about everything you just said, I respect that. But some people when are reading or watching COMEDY just enjoyt it, and dont think about anything too serious, cause to them its just something to entertain and smile, not to be taken serious AT ALL.
The same way I understand your side I hope you can understand ours, nothing you said is taken in consideration to some of us. Imagine if everytime I watched a comedy like "The Simpsons" I kept thinking about all politcaly wrong stuff, "Oh my God Homer is such a bad father!!!", LOL hahahah. To me Comedy is Comedy, I will never take a Comedy too serious. If it wasnt a Comedy than yeah, I would face differently but it is as the tag says.
