Yes. And that's what growing means. All of them (both the shadows and dolls) are just children, teenagers at most. So of course there are gonna be instances where they would be rude (intentional or not), and here they are forced to fight each other at that. But what's important is realizing they are wrong and become better.
Suggest some Yakuza or Gangster BL that has a good story. :<
