Okay but like you gotta give props to this mc for her quick uptake. She isnt physically strong but she was the one who thought of using herself as bait to bring the puppet down. And theres little to no "this cant be real i dont care abt anything i wanna go home" drama.

Yea there is potential but currently she feels like wall paper and I don't know why they made her the king because actual king chess pieces are useless, pawns are more useful because they can be queens while the king is stuck as a figurehead. She should be the queen of she's the most important thing because queens are the strongest players. I am surprised though that she kissed Knight that quick but she is still very much a boring protagonist. I hope she gets good development in the future but I'm on the fence really

I feel like this manga is going to be a confusing mindfuck, but it starts to unrival and it comes together all well in the end.

This manga just got on my nerves with its stupidity. Kyunghee should have never used anyone as a tool from the get go, and you could say that he brought it upon himself, but I can't blame the victim. Sihyun was obsessed with Kyunghee and was blackmailing Kyunghee to have sex with him. All the stupid choices Kyunghee made or didn't make was simply because he felt trapped, with his mother marrying the guy he hated for her own happiness which meant that man was inserting his way into Kyunghee life. He simply wanted his mother to be happy, so I guess that's why he didn't speak up and chose to do it indirectly? (Tbh idk what I'm saying)

From the outsider's pov it IS weird and abnormal but it is explained to us readers that she's an adult resurrected in baby form. Frankly, the protagonist should have thought that her progress is too special but I guess she never encountered a baby so as to make a comparison (she died young after all). Also, it is preposterous that the reaction of her family specifically the adults, is not to be scared, question, and "throw the whole child away" and instead, let it slide with saying she's a genius. That being said, it IS to show to us that the family is not the kind that will abandon their child just because she's being weird. Their continued support is to prove that they truly love her which is why our MC is striving hard to protect them.
If it were you and you would have thrown your own child away, then that speaks volume of what feelings you have with your own flesh and blood and thus, it would be questionable why your child (MC) would even strive to protect you since you abandoned her from the start.
