So, I read this yaoi manga a while ago, and I can t remember the title lol (￣∇￣")

Basically, the uke, who is unemployed and a good-for-nothing, gets picked up by the seme and they start working together. The uke admires his passion for his work and gets better as well, and eventually they end up creating their own successful clothing/fashion company, after a while. the seme then tells the uke he likes him, but he refuses o go out with him. later tho, the seme saves the uke from a rapist and the uke realises he likes the seme, and they end up together. ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ

towards the final chapters, the uke s mom finds out he is in a relationship with a guy, and she tries to take him to a therapist, which makes the seme feel bad, but the uke says that he wants to be with him (≧∀≦)

That s about all I can remember (sorry it s so long), I really liked this so I created this account to see if someone recognizes it, hopefully.

hey, this is something I really dislike about mangas and manhwas (specially the chinese), and I know it's just cultural diference, but the absolute barrage of times this happens is reaaaally anoying.

It's about how the male lead is usually domineering and unaproachable, manipulating the situation to bring the female lead closer. And then the female lead forgives him every time! It doesn't matter if what he did made things better or worse for her she grumbles a bit and forgives him, Why? because at that point she is absolutely in love with the guy and that means everything he does is ok, doesn't matter if she doesn't like it, doesn't matter if she didn't consent, doesn't even matter if the guy lied to her.

And why is she in love with the guy? Heck if I know! All he did was through his power around like a big hammer, and initially takes the female leads opinion in consideration. And somehow she knows that fleeting half-smile means she is super duper important to him.
you all know the type of story I'm talking about, the ones with the CEO, the emperor with the messy harem, the demon king etc.. with the VERY misleading sumary about a woman who wants to rise to the top on her own 2 feet! (except she turns into a steriotipical tsundere with the mentality of a little girl and never wants to talk it out like a proper adult)

My question is Would you date a guy like that and love him to this extent? Because it doesn't matter how much I like a guy, if I find out he deliberatly lied to me about something important, or manipulated me, I can't trust him. And if I can't trust him how can we have a relationship?

Also WHY IS THIS GENRE SO PREVALENT?? I mean once in a blue moon I find a good one where the female lead gets to have a backbone until the end and stays mature enough to have reasonable fights and discutions with the male lead, but they are super rare.

This might be because I'm already an adult and from a very diferent cuture, but I don't want a guy that will take care of everything for me, I want a guy that trusts me enough to take care of everything with me.
