when reading the novel comments or the webtoon novels I feel people always romanticize or villainize Riftan to an extreme. but that's the whole point of the story, he's not perfect. he's flawed (like Maxi) but they both learn to grow together and communicate with each other. which is what makes what they become in the second book much more beautiful. Also you have to understand before Maxi, Riftan rarely communicated with a woman. he had been a mercenary since he was 14 and had never learned to communicate or behave in a delicate manner. it will take time for him to learn and adjust his behaviour
