Maybe cuz I'm not that big of a fan of shoujo ai, but I have read some in the past like any other manga I have read. But I seriously only see them having a sisterly bond. Sorry if I offended some shoujo ai or yuri fans. Oh but I am a yaoi fan. So I guess I kinda get it why some people would wanna ship her with Rebecca. But yeah, in my mind, I just kinda see it as a sisterly bond.

I don't blame you I was confused too but I had to reread it to understand it.
Gabriel and Raphael are faces of the same coin - they are both him. For some reason he felt lead to separate them to try to make sense of whatever reality he was living both in his childhood and then in the present. When Gabriel "dies" so does Raphael - it's like you and your shadow. You can't have one without the other even if it seems as fragmented as we see it in this story.
but if Gabriel is "gone" and the new chapter is showing us Raphael, who is now in control and more of the permanent owner of his body. So like, Gabriel the other hal,f is just a non-existent personality now?
Since in one scene he was walking around Gabriel's room and said that the interior was a bit simple so Raphael said to himself that he can change some thigns along the way.
Both Gabriel and Raphael are gone, what’s left was him from when he was a child. It’s like he got a reset from the devil.
just read the update lol nvm the author just contradicted her last setup. Seems like she has them as two distinct persons - though psychologically that’s super harmful (but whatever since this is fiction ahaha)
