To save you all some time I’m going to be talking about why everyone in the comments is fighting over the manga. I’m also going to be sharing my thoughts and opinions on this. Spoilers btw. You were warned.
The MC of the story is blessed by the dark spirit which causes her to have both dark hair and dark skin but later on in the manga she will be blessed by the light spirit and her skin will turn white.
Do I think the author is racist/colorist?
No. Just a simple reminder that the MC is not black she’s Japanese but has tan skin for all of you out here saying that the author hates black people. Also the MC’s skin color was originally supposed to be white but turned tan because of the dark spirit so she literally just reverted back to her regular skin color I guess. (Also I’m black so I don’t wanna hear any of that “you don’t understand” bs. It’s really sad that I have to state my skin color just to make my point more valid)
Am I disappointed?
Yes. One of the main reasons I came to this story and one of the main things that makes it stand out was the dark skinned MC. Let’s be honest guys this manga isn’t really doing anything new besides having a dark skinned MC. It has all the basic Villainess manga tropes. So it’s not surprising that people are dropping this manga after it lost the one thing that made it special. Also I can’t really blame people for being mad. How often do you see a dark skinned MC in a shoujo manga? This manga could have been really amazing too. It could have shown the struggles of a girl who is looked down by everyone because of how she looks and has low self esteem because of it but then slowly comes to love herself and gain loved ones who don’t care about her appearance. Instead it’s just a story about a girl who everyone is afraid of and hates because she’s dark skinned, but then she gets light skin and everyone begins to love her. (Also yes it was because of her dark skin that they hated her and not just because of the dark spirit because when she gets lighter skin they all start talking about how beautiful she is even though she is still attached to the dark spirit)
Am I dropping this manga?
No. Why? Because I’m isekai trash. Nuf said.

The hate on Jeannette is bullshit and you know it. She hasn’t even done anything wrong. All she’s trying to do is connect with the people who she thinks are her family. You guys hating in her is the equivalent to hating on a second love interest just because they get in the way of the ship.
I mean most people are hating on her because she ruined the dynamic between Claude and Athy which took so long to build.
Maybe some just hate her because the novel /spoiler they read. And she is indeed a bitch.
But the Novel and the Manhwa is a bit different so this Jannette we will see till those time.
The hate against the prince and Aishira is bullshit and you know it. They haven’t even done anything to cause a misunderstanding. And don’t even bring up the cake scene because liking someone else’s cake is not equivalent to cheating.
I agree with you that they’re getting unnecessary hate and people are just displacing their anger that Tiara is hurt on Aishira and the Prince. But, I honestly got hurt for Tiara when he said he liked Aishira’s cake more and secretly meeting her (even though he meant to do something nice for Tiara)... i just wish our man could be a little more considerate of his words and actions around Tiara since he was there when she got BETRAYED by her previous fiancé. She literally has her self-esteemed down to the ground so it can’t be helped that she’s sensitive and scared that he might abandon her too... (〜￣△￣)〜
I agree. They need to have a talk and work out all the issues before it gets worse than it is. He need to be more aware of his actions and her feeling because like you said she got hurt by someone she loved and trusted and she needs to tell him what she's feeling lnstead of bottling it up until it leads to misunderstand between them.
