@Polarbeard I am pretty sure Manji turned his back on his family, not the other way around. In their eyes. As we saw in Chapter 31, they only know that Manji had a fight with Sen and then left the group; Tsuna never said anything about the incident with Iwaoi. He never explained anything. Manji just upped and left. Momo is pushing him to explain himself so that he doesn't need to run anymore and so that he doesn't feel guilty anymore. He either fully cuts ties with them now or reconnects with them. And for the fire brigade, maybe Iwaoi brought them with him. He is Manji's Uncle and the leader/founder, so not that far-fetched that he would bring them so that they could reconnect. Iwaoi doesn't know why Manji is here. He believes Manji wants to come back.

Me too, I`ve been reading it since the second volume but in your explanations, you sometimes phrase your sentences so that they have a completely different meaning from, I believe, something you want to actually tell. You wrote "... confronting his family who turned THEIR BACKS on him ..." which is why I wrote this comment. You also asked: "Also, why are the fire brigade guys hiding in Manji's childhood home?", which I tried to answer. I am not trying to be antagonistic, I just want people who read this manga for the first time to have a thorough understanding without any misconceptions. I admire that you try to explain nearly every chapter since even I had trouble understanding some in the earlier volumes, I just want to correct some statements that are phrased wrong. It is supposed to help and not to call you out. I am sorry if that was the feeling you got from my responses.

Can we please talk about how this BL manga couple, which lives in the Edo period btw, has better communication skills and a better relationship than 90% of all the other BL mangas out there, whose plot takes place in the modern era? The communication in Manjis and Momo's relationship is on point. They talk about their feelings and doubts, don't degrade the other's opinions, but instead try to help and uplift them. In the case of this chapter, both felt that the other didn't clearly state their relationship in public, which is very difficult, and Momo clearly communicated that he loved Manji but needed time to cool off after their fight to think for himself and Manji let him because he knew that's what they needed. Both try to help the other in general. Manji helps Momo to see that his past does not need to define his future, and Momo tries to help Maji face his past mistakes so that he can move on and will either reconnect with the fire brigade or completely cut ties ( I won't spoil).
I can seriously only praise this manga in nearly every way possible!

Why is everybody so pretty, buff, or cute!! Kintaro looked like one of the susuwatari (the soot balls) from spirited away, and I loved that. I also love their friendship so much, and it is definitely refreshing to see such a strong bromance without any romantic interest woven into it. I cant wait for you all to read the rest of the volumes!
Momo said BI Rights right then and there XD and Kintaro is becoming a real ally I love it. Since we don't know much about him maybe he is also gay or at least BI. He was at least not against kissing Momo out of curiosity.
OMG they look soooooo fabulous in their wedding attire I can't.ヾ(☆▽☆) I hope we get to see that at one point. Apparently, volume 5 is not the last one and a sixth one is in planning ^^
