Definitely a trauma response, and the ML has begun are already has been self destructing. Some people in the comments are quick to judge and don’t get that this is a real thing people go through, so stfu. The ML needs a little help to get through the process rn, and unfortunately is surrounded by horrid people ╥﹏╥

I love how this MC isnt being pushed as the ‘super weak’ or just ‘really miserable and needy’ uke trope that tries to force people to feel bad, but that he’s genuinely working hard to get out of his situation. I thinks that’s also why people genuinely think of him as a little sweetheart bc he’s srsly that innocent, and deserves it. But also, someone tell this mf to stop working so much that he doesn’t rest （/TДT)/

Idk wtf people are talking about parallel universes. Time passed in the other world, different than it did his real world which is why the ML looks older: he IS older. He probably thinks the MC is some fake or illusion or trick bc he hadn’t seen him in so long, or the MC was thought to be dead.
