I've been watching this and rereading this many times..... its just theory about the heart and i think its none of them in the present characters because the thought of allen's background they never talk about the real biological parents of allen it just began when allen met mana they never know where he came from he just came to mana at the age of 5? Or toddler age so its just a theory i thought of maybe the heart is the mother of allen since the aphycocphse? Said the heart is worried for allen its like that since i also remembered the story of tegami bachi same like that and the sense of demons and innocense (angels) there is the holy mother that it can also symbolizes as the heart.... just a theory (づ￣ ³￣)づ i wanna share
The heart, I think, is probably Allen's Innocence. The reason why I think Allen's Innocence is the heart is because there is a lot of indication of it.
First and foremost, when Allen was brought to Hevlaska, she predicted that Allen will be the destroyer of time which is an indication to the Millennium Earl. Since Neah himself is also part of the Millennium Earl, this means that the prediction wasn't talking about Neah but Allen himself. And Allen needs the heart to defeat the Earl. That's a big indication there.
Secondly, Allen's Innocence was supposed to be destroy by Tikki but was recovered. If Allen's Innocence was the heart, it would explain why it was able to survive Tikki's attack when other Innocence wasn't able to since the heart is said to be stronger than regular innocence.
Thirdly, Allen's Anti-Akuma weapon is the invert of the Earls. A lot of people believe it's because of Neah but I beg the differ since Innocence are separated from Noah. Which means Neah's existence should have no affect on the form in which the Innocence takes.
And lastly, the Apocryphos. He's hell bent on capturing Allen to assimilate Allen's Innocence into him. If Allen's Innocence isn't the heart then why would he go through so much length to protect it? Other Innocence are being hunted down and destroy yet, he doesn't care.
If it was really Allen's mother who's influencing the Apocryphos then the Apocryphos would care more about Allen than the Innocence. Yet, the Apocryphos cares more about Allen's Innocence and could care less as to whether Allen lives or die. It wouldn't make sense as to why he's so obsess with Allen's Innocence if he's trying to save Allen.

I was also thinking of the same thing! But I think when the Millennium Earl said the words "he's somewhere far away" when he was pertaining to Mana (from the recent chapters), maybe he had separated himself from the existence of Mana, like having two personalities. But in this case, two souls I guess? Which makes it possible for Allen to meet the akuma version of Mana. It's the Earl's human soul that he has separated from his Noah one?
This is just pure speculation though, but considering that the previous Earl before Mana was able to become twins, I think the recent Earl really did find a way to lock the human soul and memories of him being Mana to prevent his sad memories of killing his brother.
But if its two soul.... so did the human soul came back? Because the earl or i mean mana is finding neah the 14th he misses him so..... ╥﹏╥ this is confusing but lets see where the author will take us (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
The author has yet to explain that event so anything that we say is mere fan theory and speculation and nothing Canon.
Personally speaking though, my theory is that Allen really did turn Mana into an Akuma. But the "Millennium Earl" that help Allen turn Mana into an Akuma is not the real Earl but only a shell.
Notice when Mana came out of the Millennium Earl shell on his reunion with Neah in Chapter 219? I think that the shell itself is part of Mana and his power. Just like Allen's Crown Clown. Seeing how they have similar swords, it would make sense for them to have similar powers as well.
Explanation, Crown Clown can act on its own outside of Allen's control. Even when Allen is unconscious, Crown Clown can work to protect others and Allen. The event where Crown Clown protect Bak and For even though Allen is basically dead is prove enough at that. Which makes me wonder what if the fat and ugly Millennium Earl is not a person but a shell like Crown Clown? If that was the case then it would make sense as to why there is a "Millennium Earl" walking about even though Mana died already.
If you go back and look at Chapter 3, when Allen turn Mana into an Akuma, the Millennium Earl basically just disappear. Even after knowing that Allen possess and Innocence, he didn't try to kill Allen and just disappear. My theory is that when Allen turn Mana into an Akuma, he released the invoke shell which cause it to disappear.
As to how Mana came back as the Millennium Earl even after Allen killed him, my theory is that Allen didn't kill him. In Chapter 3 when Mana was turn into an Akuma, there was no scene showing that Allen actually killed Mana. He must have survived. And since Akuma is made of dark matter, it would make sense as to why Mana would survive being turn to an Akuma since the Millennium Earl is a Noah amd can control Dark Matter and draws his power from it.
If you go read Chapter 3 further, you'll see that despite the Earl being so powerful later on in the story, he choose to retreat against Allen who doesn't even have Crown Clown at the time. My theory is that the Millennium Earl in Chapter 3 is only the shell. Which makes him weak and therefore can't take on Allen.
That is my theory.
