Okay so it seems like the professor was behind the meds, maybe the creator…..I agree with others saying the meds are actually memory loss pills instead of omega pills. The professor is probably hoping the Wooju will forget the seme (I forgot his name because I don’t like him)

The pills aren’t working at hyper speed, the seme and Wooju could get into a fight about the pills before the pills completely erase his memory then professor comes in to “save the day”. To either alter Wooju memory or to claim he’ll reverse the side effects but give him the real omega pills instead.
Either way we all know Wooju will brush the situation under the rug and be the asshat seme
