Even tho it's fictional, I agree on other comment that says it depends on the person on how they will forgive their parents for leaving them behind. And if he's my dad and I've heard his reason, I'll forgive him. He loved my mom, didn't meant to leave us behind, and came back after everything. I'll spend the rest of my life trying to catch up with him.
The changes generational trauma started with Ilya's dad. He could have been a total jerk to his son but the best thing he did was sending him to Hanu to have a better life than theirs. You can never changed a prejudiced country after a night, it needs more time but I think, Ilya and Throne's kid will bring that change in the future.
It's interesting actually, most stories with these kinds of scenarios will be on heavy drama side but no. Tay and Ilay are like Cesar and (forgot his Korean name and their story title) similar at some point. So reading something like this is definitely new. It's not for anyone but I thoroughly enjoyed it
Let's assume that the dads (both Khalid and ilya's) doesn't know how to act around their children, but they are not entirely bad. That's how they were raised after all, so saying to Ilya that he should leave immediately means he knows that his eldest means no good to Ilya, god I hate those kind of characters where you can see that they are not entirely bad.
He also probably knows how well Illiya would be in a country that actually acknowledges and respects him. Not only was he revered because he was an omega, considered a messenger from their god, he also was the backbone of the country when it fell apart from Zane (spelling) and kept people together and was quite literally a mother to his people. So yeah I bet Illiyas dad was like “thanks for visiting me but please go home you are better off there than this cold place”

Author made this alt universe but he's not event pregnant? They better make them have child since it's already in ABO universe like please the kid was so cuuute
