I don't wanna seem mean but tbh i hate when characters get dramatic over simple misunderstandings it's soooo cringe to me....like many tf up and handle this shit like a boss is all I can repeatedly say in my head

The character went on an extremely homophobic and transphobic diatribe and you call that a "misunderstanding". Not to mention that Chiharu wasn't fucking doing a good job at defending his partner. Not everyone handles verbal abuse the same way. By "many tf up" I'm assuming that you mean "man tf up" to which I say men are as diverse as any other gender. There is not one way to be a man. You could say "grow a backbone" or "learn to stick up for yourself". And again I would posit that he just got verbally attacked and not everyone handles it the same way. I sure as hell don't know how I would react. I'm not the type to run away but I may not respond in the most rational of ways. To reiterate Chiharu was doing the bare minimum of standing up for Ikumi in the situation. If I was him, I would have said whole lot more and had a lot of choice words as well.

Listen when I say man tf up I'd say it to anyone man or female...my point being if you don't have the facts to a whole situation but allow yourself to be melodramatic I find it cringy...I ain't say you I said me because it's cringy... furthermore if I chose to use the phrase man tf up then imma do it. Sure chitau don't say much but to be fair the woman could say what ever she wants, does not mean Izumi had to take it to heart she's a fucking stranger why would you let a strangers view of a situation that chitau clarified bother you.. I'm not a weak person so personally I'd say botch please and me n chitau would keep it moving....throughout this whole manga you see alot of one sided misunderstandings and it's a theme throughout the genre I just think we could do without alot of that....
