Huh... quite interesting. I mean, I get that fetishizing is one of BL's strongest criticism, it is written by women and for women after all, and specially by and for japanese people which IDK what they have for rape... they like it way to much, altho personally, I think homosexuality can be a choice too. But in the end I think the message you have to take is that love is love, and yaoi kinda gets you closer to that understanding.
But if what you mention is homophobic too, then I guess there truly are a lot of homophobic people here, just not the hater type (trolls sure, but I dont consider that liking, just being an ass)
