The issue is that Gmmtv got the permission to remake the show, but didn't do their homework and didn't get the correct permission and copyrights in order to distribute it. It's a very well known fact that Japan is very strict about their copyright laws, and yet they didn't think to get the permission to air it internationally it's them being incompetent at their job like wdym they wrote, filmed, promoted and did everything for the show but didn't get the copyrights and permissions?! Okay I was confused with the writing but I understood many things...
