It's actually one big misunderstanding, the male lead actually love MC and he also know that MC is actually pretending to be lover with the painter, but he hasn't know why MC would distant away from him and also pretending to be lover with the painter that's why he's hesitating. They both love each other but they just wont talk (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻
