Sorry, I should have kept my cool. But I feel that some people come and read shit and then have the balls to complain about it, like, it was in the description though? And everyone knows what they're getting into when they read an omegaverse. Also with the rape thing, the only time I REAAAALLLLYYY cannot stand it is when you're in an omegaverse and the person who did the raping uses pheromones to justify what they did and show no sign of remorse. That is what I ABSOLUTELY cannot stand.

I mean, not all omegaverses or yaoi with rape explicitly state in the description that rape occurs in the story. Also with the pheromones thing, I get that being able to control themselves is hard because it's a primal instinct however many omegaverses show semes that are able to get over it and control themselves. Saying that "you just can't help it" or "you're not really trying to rape" is a big fuck you to people who've been sexually assaulted. It doesn't matter that you can't help it or it wasn't your intention, in the end it's sexual assault all the same. Just like you I agree that justification of rape because of pheromones is revolting. If they apologized and took accountability for their actions then it's up to the person they attacked and that person only to forgive them or not. Personally, I can read a manga with rape and still like it overall. Also OP was just stating that they hated the rape in this, I don't believe that they complaining about why there's rape in it. TL; DR There's never an excuse for rape even in an omegaverse and this is just an opinion. I'm not saying that I hate the manga or complaining about it I'm simply making a general assertion that rape is NEVER, I repeat NEVER okay.

But here's the thing (also, I completely agree that rape is never okay) you're reading an omegaverse, and like I said, things like rape and shit are bound to happen, you know? I just don't think people should say anything about that type of stuff especially if they read the manga to the end. Also, most sensible people know that rape is not okay, but most often, (irritably) this is how people in omegaverses get together. Also, if you are a person who was sexually assaulted (as you used in your example) then would it even make sense for you to be reading in the first place? The thing that made me mad was that it seemed like you were being rude, and I thank you for explaining that.

Forgive me if I came off as rude. That simply was not my intention at all. In response to your first point that people shouldn't say anything about that type of stuff,people can and will state their opinion about rape or assault that happens in manga, it's inevitable. In my opinion, they're just as entitled to their opinion as you are entitled to yours about not saying anything about the omegaverse if they already know what they're in for, and me for commenting this. I mean no disrespect by this, no snark intended. I do understand your sentiment though. People will often crtiticize a work without reading it and basing their opinions on a few chapters or the summary alone. It's often annoying when they are downright disrespectful to the author. Readers are just expressing their thoughts on the piece. Sometimes people might be critical of the whole work in general because of the instance of rape, however in the OP's case, they stated that they liked the ship dynamics but the rape was a turn off. They weren't dismissing the entirety of the work, but rather just the instance of rape presented in it. My last point is that people who have been sexually assaulted can and some do read this type of manga. I've seen many commenters remark on the rape in omegaverses, many of them surprisingly not dismissive or critical but just matter of factly in their experience and how the rape is portrayed. It might not make sense to read manga with a higher potential of having rape scenes if you've been in that situation but just because a rape scene is in it doesn't mean the work as a whole can't be good. Lastly I'd like to apologize for a fragment of my last comment. This is a manga which is meant for pure entertainment. I admit my previous comment may have seemed like omegaverses or manga with rape perpetuates sexual assault but that is by all means not the point I was trying to make. If anybody out there reads manga with the notion that these actions are okay in real life and that you'll suffer no repercussions they are gravely mistaken. I hope, however, that nobody thinks that way and is respectful of others. In short, I think that people should try to enjoy omegaverse and if the rape turns them off they have every right to post about it, however, if they are disrespectful to the other or others, people have every right to criticize them. Also manga is meant for entertainment, which means that scenes portrayed in these manga are not necessarily representative of real life.
