Did you see the look in his eyes; that was scary! It's not so much that I forgot that he was stuck in that place with the helldogs for a long time, it's just that the affect it would have on him didn't hit me that hard until I read the chapter where Maiden went inside his head, and this chapter. Because his behavior seemed normal and I got swept up in the action, I thought he was at peace with it and glossed over it; but now, I'm starting to think otherwise.
I haven't seen many action mangas that address things like Hanbin's past, so I'm curious to see how it will go forward regarding his mental state. If he hasn't completely gotten over it, then I hope that he'll finally be able to find peace with the help of his friends, because, thinking about it properly, that's heartbreaking.
It reminds me of that movie that Tom Hanks played in where he worked for Fedex and something went wrong with the cargo plane and crashed in the sea, putting him on an uninhabited island. There were some scenes in there that really tugged on my heart strings.

The Savior in the castle is really annoying. I mean, why was she there in the first place; she doesn't know how to use magic and she has 0 fighting or self defense skills. I'm hoping that she'll grow into a better person under the book cafe Savior or she gives her a good talking-to and open her eyes to the damage she's been causing. If after all that, she's still an immature, spoiled brat who's incompetent in what she signed up to do, then I hope she gets stripped of all her powers-that she's not using-and her status as a Savior-that she's abusing. Because at this point, there was absolutely no point in announcing that she's a Savior if she's not going to be pulling her own weight; she's causing more harm than good, as can be seen with the subjugation in the previous chapter.

To the people who keep saying "Kai is the Emperor, who has the most authority, yet he's not doing shit with it," that simply isn't true! The person with the most authority is actually Princess Ejette.
Because she has been in the palace far longer than Kai and Alicia (her whole life), she has more connections and is more well known. She is also of a higher pedigree (pure blood) and has had longer to develop her reputation into what it is today, so of course they would listen and believe her words more naturally than Kai or Alicia. Let's not forget that Ejette has the Emperor's Guardian supporting her, who has people supporting him, who have countless other people supporting them and so on, while Kai only has his sister who holds little influence-right now-and Duke Ares. Simply put, a ruler without power is nothing but a "Figure Head," and that's exactly what they're trying to do to Kai.
People have also been saying that he isn't trying hard enough or not putting in enough effort, but that's what he's doing now. They're teaching him things that are useless to being a good leader so he had to sneak and read things like the book Princess Ejette was holding to learn more relevant things to being a ruler. And at the end of the day, Kai is still just a kid-one with a lot of responsibilities, but a kid nonetheless. I'm pretty sure he's feeling the pressure of having to become a wise and competent ruler, and getting stronger so as to secure his and his sister's position (mainly his sis), so cut the kid some slack! I mean, they wouldn't even let him learn how to wield a sword because it's "too dangerous," that's how you know it's bad; what member of royalty that is male is not allowed to learn how to wield a sword because it's "too dangerous-" excluding health reasons.
So yeah, I think Kai is doing pretty damn good considering the situation he's in. And remember he's around the age where he's bratty and annoying so his behavior towards his sister is to be expected. Not saying that all kids are like that around that age, but they definitely have character and are doing something!
