Yeah the situation is super frustrating, they made his character more likeable in the novel though, like there were a lot more conversations where he paid more attention to aria and it made mielle look pretty dumb, and mielle would have kept getting presents if he hadn't figured out she wasn't who the prince was looking for, but they kind of cut those scenes out, it was definitely rough at first though (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜
In the novel, Rain is much better. He thought Mielle was Aria, that's why he's nicer to her. But more often, even while thinking she's Aria, Rain still think she's dumb and tend to gravitate towards the actual Aria. But it's not clearly shown in the manhwa. It was only stated that Aria could see how much Rain grimaced at Mielle's dumb responses. He was just enduring it because he thought that was his master's crush.

I have not read the novel, but I do think they showed that Rain was figuring out who Aria actually was (though ofc maybe less), simply because he does go through the process of | intrigue in Mielle -> Disappointed in Mielle -> Intrigue in Aria. Followed by the awkward reveal that the true genius is likely Aria.

I overall like Rain, but I agree about how Aria was made to feel at the start of the process. But outside of that understandable mistake*, he was always kind/polite and did not desire to involve himself in the Count's talk about Aria's marriage.
* The misunderstanding was understandable because like the crown prince said, it makes little sense that a commoner with such little experience could act so noble etc.

I feel like its unfair blaming this on Rain when he's just being ordered to bring gifts and investigate Mielle lol. He didn't pay attention to Aria at first because his orders were just to find out if Mielle was really smart, but after talking to Aria a few times he figured out Aria was the smart one.
But wasn’t it confirmed that it wasn’t his misunderstanding in the first place?? It’s the prince who got the person and names switched up and he just followed what he was told to do. Then rain figured it out himself that the prince was deceiving aria more and tried to correct him but the prince didn’t believe him
Corsets are like that, I've worn a few, and let me tell you, it's like are organs meant to be this squished up hahahaha, weirdly the style of tiny waists for women fits this era of cinching in the waist.
I really hate that white haired dude so much
why?
