now i want to try water in korea, she making it sound so exquisite while ours is so bad & tasteless? lol.

The water is probably softer there so it makes a big difference. For example the water in London is nothing like the water in Scotland.

the water is Korea is why bts is so good

I don't think the water really changes anything. If you're talking about skin, figure etc it depends on the food you eat. Speaking of which Korean, Japanese, Chinese food looks so good and yummy. My country can never relate

very overly dramatic and exaggerated reactions just because she's dark-skinned. this shows MUCH about the author's mindset. they're basically implying that having dark skinned is ugly and scary. and then you have people here trying to bring scientific facts and logic but what about your principles & morals? if you really think it's ok for someone to get treated like that because of their skin color then um...wow & i don't wanna hear 'its just manga', 'it's fake it's fiction', keep the same energy when y'all be yelling about rape in yaoi and NO I'm not trying to make anyone feel guilty for reading this because if you like it please keep enjoying, but don't try to deny the fact that this is colorist and make people feel bad for dropping...

That is exactly what majority of people in Japan and Korea thinks about people with dark skin. Dark skin = dirty and ugly.... and poor and uneducated. Maybe people there are just ignorant and have no cultural awareness, especially when their society is very homogenous. But their racism towards darker skin people (while being super ignorant that what they do is extremely racist) makes me do not want to come to those countries (I am a SE Asian descent too so my skin is tanned). My friend just spent her time in both countries as exchange students. She is from Indonesia and she has dark skin. People in Japan/Korea always think she is either from India or Africa. Nevertheless, she has experienced being chased out from shops, restaurants, clubs because these places refused to serve her. Some bars/clubs in Korea even blatantly announce that they don't welcome people from several countries. You might think Japan/Korea are developed countries, but they are pretty backwards in terms of cultural awareness.

In fact, Asians are known to be super racists, I remember when Japanese said they prefer having the assistance of a robot than from a non-Japanese!!!
Also, after a disaster in Haiti, South Korea people sent whitening creams!!! I have seen a video of a South Korean black man who is always stopped in the airport because his South Korean passport and many of these countries they have a strange idea about black people!!!
There is a yaoi I love, the only dark part of it is in the begining when the main character is talking about common sense and he literally said it is common sense to know Africans are savage... I was like WTF, but sadly that is the idea people has.
I'm from Latin America and I remember when my HS had a exchange travel to France, they literally thought we lived in the middle of the jungle, they began to show us a fridge telling us what it was and we were like "we know, we also have fridges" (that was at the end of the 90s)!!!
Like it happened in Europe, in Asians countries having white skin shows status, rich people have white skin because they don't need to work or work inside a building while poor people have dark skin because they have to work under the sun... so sadly, they have this bad idea about white skin, and add the idea that Africans are savage and dangerous make it worse!!!
And they are not that interested on what happen outside their countries, tgere is being a change of ideas between the young because they are more connected and travel more, but it is going slow, they prefer stay in their culture than learn about the world!!!

Spoilyyyy

So eventually people will think that she is exotic and the already think she is beautiful like in the future eventually, and they wont think she is evil. And her brother and a few others think she is pretty. But unfortunately she does get white skin (she was blessed by the light spirit king as well) which sucks( not that she was blessed by another spirit king but that her skin changes), and a lot of ppl think it sucks, but that's the mangaka's choice nothing I can do.
Anyway also, as much as I agree with u on the colorist thing. I think the mangaka tried to make it less about the skin color itself and more about what it represents, a.k.a. the protection of the dark spirit king whom one cursed and destroyed most of the kingdom.
Maybe the mangaka will include how the MC and everyone close to her feel now with the second blessing and her changing skin. To show that now ppl treat her differently just cuz her skin is light and she has the light spirit king blessing. And how they, MC and crew resent all the people that looked at her badly.
And as a side note, I think people in many Asian countries are changing this mind view. If you look at some yaoi/bl and even shoujo stories, there are a lot more Male and or female leads who are dark skinned and that's a plus, I hope and think.

I don’t think it’s about her skin color as much as what it represents (the dark lord)....Although some Asians r racists, a good majority of them aren’t and putting them under the same label of “racist and Insensitive to the world” also just generalizing and putting them under a label like u claim they do. There r plenty of Japanese/Korean/Asian actors that have darker skin and although the things u pointed out r awful, the seem to either be personal experiences or things from some time ago. Doesn’t excuse it but things r changing with younger generations. The fact that people like u also bring up race in everything leads to people being overly conscious of race in general and puts us farther away from putting that behind us and gaining a colorblind society. The point of her skin color is suppose to show the spirit under her protection, people don’t fear her because of her skin, they fear the spirit that’s behind it. When I was reading the novel I honestly didn’t have a problem with any of the story until someone pointed it out.

Why the fuck do you bring racism into here?
It's a mother flipping manga about Dark and Light.
If you point to her beeing ugly and bad because of her skin color, then shouldn't yoi be even more happy because she will gain happiness and acknowledgement trough her hard work from everybody?
This would be even embodying that the darkerskinned are more hardworking than the light skinned.
Please don't bring fucking racism into anime and manga.
May the demon king trow your soul into the gutter for always beeing triggered.
----
Darkskinned ppl should grow up, (ohhh I'm beeing discriminated because of my skin color! And we were slaves in the old days buhuu~)
What about asians? They get called intelligent just because their asians and always get called small dicked ppl. They all have slit eyes and do the ching chang chong.
What about muslims? They always have bombs under their clothes and every single one of them isarmed and gonna kill itself for their believe.
----
Why are just dark skinned ppl triggered about such things?!?
Ps. Don't come at me, am black myself u stupid cunt

not going to change the way i feel about the sister, sorry! yeah i pity her but c'mon, it should've never got to the point where he can't depend on anyone but her, he is a grown man and she raised him like that, so why complain now? plus i feel as if she has no good feeling towards her brother at all, but i guess we'll have to keep reading i'm so confused with her feelings right now.

Obviously you dont know that the word burden has different meanings. In this case the word burden means:
Cause (someone) hardship or distress.
"they were not yet burdened with adult responsibility"
synonyms: oppress, trouble, cause trouble to, cause suffering to; More worry, beset, bother, harass, disturb, upset, depress, get someone down; distress, grieve, haunt, nag, torment, harrow, afflict, strain, stress, tax, overwhelm, perturb, plague, bedevil. Thx.

That was disgustingly condescending, you know? If you know sooo well about how to use some words you'd clearly know that BURDEN has a negative connotation. I'll gladly refer you to this dictionary if you want to check for yourself : https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/burden
And my advice to you is calm your heat before answering, kid
He seemed like such a nice, clean guy in the prequel.... but he's beautiful.
