The story's good, the characters aren't one-dimensional, they aren't completely good or completely bad, they just have their own goals and will do anything to get those goals. I love stories like this.
Spoiler:
I'm still crying over Nadan though. Also, people in the comments need to understand that not shipping the Prince with Suu doesn't mean not liking the Prince as a character. I think he's a good character, not in terms of morality but in terms of being a fleshed out character. I don't ship him with Sahara either because to be honest I'm less worried about ships and more about the plot, and their individual experiences. None of the two mains would be good for Suu romantically in a healthy way. But the pilot's good. And while my wish that Suu and Nadan would become friends again will never come true, I'm just going to have to deal with it ╥﹏╥

I'm surprised that this has this high a rating lmao, it's been 28 chapters yet there's barely any development. The characters seem so one-dimensional that the dad fuvking that creepy guy was the highlight of the whole webtoon. I'm just sticking out with this because I don't like giving up halfway through things but man...

yaoi cults remind me of that one manga where a group of high schoolers form a cult around the uke and gangbang him and the uke turns it around and turns the cult members into volunteers helping the community

The entire manga was a wild ride tbh, it's this manga's chapter 5 and the last chapter is the extra. There's a warning in the first page so uh...yeah

Sure he wasn't going to end up with Suu romantically but I wanted them to be friends again. I really really don't like seeing innocent characters die or get hurt even if they're not the main characters or if they're not that important to the plot of the story because their deaths stick around in my head until the story is over and done and I just get sad whenever I get an update even though I love those stories a lot. Also, another one of my favourite characters who was supposed to live a happy life died in a manhua I like so now I'm doubly sad, rest in peace Nadan and Hong Xiu ╥﹏╥

This manhua has everything I look for, a nice plot that doesn't entirely depend on "romance", likeable characters, history, culture and art. Kinda sad to see that this is so underrated.
Also, yan ci is such a smooth mofo, and a total simp for qiming lmao. Understandable, his thighs look like they could smash watermelons.
Why does the fujo white-haired girl have a khukuri on her desk lmao
Also, is that a banana fish reference?
