This is the first time I’ve prolly approve of a story’s “incest” relationship bc they don’t give me sibling vibes and they were never blood related nor grew up together cuz a lot of ppl usually end up dropping bc of this topic. The author did a good job at setting their relationship early on cuz nao I find it moar acceptable bc of their circumstance and the story is good xD

Same, this one doesn't have siblings vibes to it. They're essentially in a contract symbiotic relationship and there is nothing seggy or taboo about them when they hang out or any weird tension other than her thinking she's going to be killed. I think it's because she's so distant and wants to survive that makes it work and she's not out to fall in love since she just wants to make money and get away. What's working his how he's also distant too but slowly showing her a different side of himself that she never knew since she's still thinking he'll be with the fl. And while everyone but her sees it as a blossoming relationship because she's so distant about it and naive it really works that when they do get together it works out cause she didn't expect it or aim to get this ending.
I did drop another one cause they grew up together and behaved like siblings and we're siblings in everything but blood but then she and the brother had to live separately for safety and then when they met again like a couple years later they fell in love and it just felt so wrong cause they still kept in touch and had their sibling relationship still cause she was with the younger brothers and taking care of them. Even though they weren't related they shared a sibling bond and it didn't seem realistic for her to be with him since she was known as his sister and had other options. It just felt weird and forced and not enough time nor distance for them to work out. You know?

I think she does baby him a lot, like she refuses to see him as a man yet so I think they still have a long way to go. Every time she tells him "grow up and be happy" and acts all "guardian-like" it feels like she acts like his mother... *shake my head* It's not impossible to break that weird dynamic, but it's cretainly not simple, so I wonder how the author's gonna go about it.

Tru but I can see that the author is slowly trying to set up the tone around our MC and ML bc a lot of characters around them have been hinting alot to her about MLs interest towards her and she’s currently still in denial and is still distant but also has a sliver of interest towards the ML. It’s just going at a very slow pace but I like the pacing, it feels natural. But Ye I totally understand the weird guardian dynamic going on
U guys have to stop using the word grooming loosely. It’s defined as someone who purposely created a relationship of trust with a young person in order to manipulate, exploit and abuse them. By reading his definition, now is it really grooming and pedophilic? It’s unfair for the author cuz ur comments will cause new readers to leave. It is already confirmed at the beginning of the story that our MC met up with Hansel when he grew up and these types of stories are not new. We got elves and vampire stories and I don’t see anyone complaining about those stories. Yes, our MC met with them as a child and travelled with them for a while bc she’s in danger of being caught by with hunters, but she is very clear she clearly has been planning to leave the kids sooner bc of this. It wasn’t her intention to meet with them as a kid to begin with and she doesn’t even kno Hansel developed a little crush on her
I think its less about grooming and more about position of power/authority. Obviously MC has the power in this situation, she is raising both Hansel and Gretel as a mother figure. Coming from a position of power (providing food, roof, clothes etc) she has a positive influence on these children and is in a position to influence them. Obviously MC isn't trying to groom him but as someone with the power in this dynamic she should be responsible to not return those feelings & she should understand that Hansel may like her bc she was his sole provider (literally adopted them). I think stories like this a very much in the grey area
yup ly
