idk if y’all are well acquainted with greek mythology but the person who wrote the Odyssey (the epic poem that contains the story of calypso and odysseus) was Homer. If you read greek mythology before, you might get the feeling that with stories so detailed, did none of it ever happen? Greek mythology and epics really play with the line between fantasy and reality because the mythology is being treated as if it were science and history. How do we know if these gods and goddesses don’t exist? Hyun min knew they didn’t exist for a fact—until he was literally shown otherwise. If there’s a different world coexisting within ours, we wouldn’t know it existed or how it’s like, but there’s a certain thrill with wanting to believe that there could be so a whole different world out there. I really like how the ending reflects that feeling greek mythology gives you. Everyone reading it thinks it’s a story, but to them, they know it’s real, and the only ones who know the truth in the human world is the friend/author. Idk i’m rambling lol but i love this manhwa so fucking much it’s so good.

It just seemed to me that Dr. Zhi thought Li Li was cute as a kid, in the way you normally thing children are cute. He didn’t really show interest in Li Li, I think he just thought Li Li was adorable and fun to be around, so he kept wanting to hang out with him. When they met again, in one of the first chapters where Dr. Zhi’s ears turned red might be when he actually started catching feelings for Li Li. Like wouldn’t he have been more flushed the first time he saw Li Li rather than a few times into seeing him again? Just food for thought!

In Chapter 8, what Li Li mean by the duck at the market was just a reference to how in a lot of Chinese markets, there’s a section where you can buy whole roasted ducks, but they’re usually hanging on a hook which is kinda gruesome lol but usually you buy it to make beijing duck dishes and it’s delicious!
In Chapter 10, the name saved for Dr. Zhi says “ 吱一声,” (zhi yi sheng) which is a homophone like “Doctor Zhi” (albeit having different tones) 吱一声 by itself means something like “let me know” as in “if you need help, let me know,” which is why Li Li’s friend didn’t know who was calling him, because 吱一声 is an ambiguous and discrete caller id name, and Li Li was smiling because it’s an inside joke because no one knows they’re dating!

(just a theory) remember when yeonwoo said that jun would be safe as long as there were mirrors in the house? i think he said that because with the mirrors either a) he can see through them or b) his 'reflection' can see through them and warn yeon woo if anything happened to jun. for both options, yeon woo can command the 'hands' to kill, whether they come out of the black room or out of the mirror in the black room. he purposefully killed someone right in front jun to trigger jun's memories of yeonwoo's parents getting killed, then brainwashed him afterward to distort his memories into who yeon woo wants him to be like. honestly, i love this manhwa, it's fascinating! and the fact that jun bby started off so innocent has me shaking- ;00 OOO I JUST THOUGHT OF SOMETHING- after they looked at the black mirror, they both probably started seeing their reflections talking to them and those hands, but yeon woo chose to accept them while jun forgot?
idk the cat is ugly but honestly pretty cute haha
