I'm wondering if low key the fiance poised them to get the prince to fall in love with him more. I think he's a smart good guy, but he deff seems calculative.
Am I missing something? I feel like there is no lead-up to this sexual tension/interest in her. I'm not saying she's not pretty and he's not good-looking. It feels like it's happening because it has to (cause story plot) and not because it needs to (because of build-up and character development/interest). Since the beginning, there has been no real reason (in my opinion) that he's interested in her. Maybe it will come up later that its that whole "we met as kids and I fell in love with you plot". But like, I just don't see it. Especially from her, like yes he's good-looking, but so what? why are you so interested in him, why are you so easily swayed and question your values to save him? It just happened so quickly with no real build-up. Like it just doesn't add up to me right now. Am I the only one that thinks so?

But it was to quick and there was no reason of interest. I think for me what makes it more weird was the dead wife, who he is portrayed to love and still on about her death. And then he just sees her and he's like yeah let's take a chance. As someone with a son who is in danger it doesn't make sense how he acts towards her and just trust her. Like knowing your uncle potentially killed your wife that you loved would you then just see some potentially random girl and be like yeah risk it for her? I was looking at it as not just a romance but a parent wanting to protect their child concept. And this drawn to her started from jump. And so did she. I'm not saying the manga is bad I just wish they actually had build up. I don't feel like there is a connection to their relationship for me to be like aw they're in love?

in chapter 76 he did lead her on bcs HJ actually KNEW SHE'S INTO HIM. there's no such how hard he lead her on, he still lead her on. went out with her for a few eat (it can be interpreted as date esp for the girl's pov.) if the novel said the dates were actually meetings, then in manhwa it wasn't mentioned. in hj's word: i took her out for a few times and was nice to her. implied as a date. the sleepover DIDN'T really HAPPENED, sorry for the confusion. even sy interpreted it as "fooling with her", if sy see it as that way how much more the girl who actually experience it first hand?
being lead on + sy's lie + being hurt that the netkama was chosen over her. even if we see it as petty excuses, we can't actually invalidate her feelings, can we?
I'm aware the webtoon has cut out a lot of details and I'm just explaining things as I recall from the novel, because I read that first.
I'm not invalidating her feelings, she CAN be petty and be vengeful if she wants to if she felt he was leading her on, but that does not mean she wasn't being petty (they're separate things). From the novel text, she was a bit into him bc he was hot but she wasn't in love with him, so much as she wanted to use him to boost her streamer career.
Heejae even clarifies to Seyoung that even when they were hanging out, it was mostly work related, and she was the one spinning things to make it sound like a date to everyone and online. When she was at his house she didn't stay, but purposely left stuff there, so she could talk about it later in front of others.
Like, she's not totally innocent in all of this. Heejae never said he liked her or, or that it was a date. Even if she felt led on, and even if he did lead her on, it wasn't to an extent where she needed to headhunt his whole clan with MONEY just to try and ruin his whole reputation.

This is just my opinion. I know he's supposed to be the main lead but I just can't with him. Like I know it's a manga, but some things should have real perspectives. There is no way my boyfriend ghosted me for over 10 years, and then I would get back with him. whatever his reason is, is still no. Yes, he was going through something but so was she, she was literally fighting not to be killed and find a way to still be in contact with him. Yes, your parents are having issues and it affects you. But she did not change her number, and you knew who her friends were, even if you needed some time, even if you couldn't meet or talk often, there should have been some contact. He hurt her, badly after she already lost her relationship with the sister she loved who betrayed her. He did not start off with any type of apology, explanation, or anything. He could have even sent a text of I'm sorry, let's break up, or I'm leaving you. I would rather her be with the sub-male lead (blonde guy). Sometimes manga don't support emotionally balanced relationships. Why must she settle for less? Because she is settling. This is not ok, and should not be glossed over.
The blonde is some crazy bastard (I mean before the flashback he was trying to sacrifice kids! KIDS! There ain't no comeback for you). Sadly he is the one who ruined their relationship by looking like he's going to off Brian because of some well if I can't have you blah blah I'm crazy. But lowkey, like Brian just kinda pisses me off with some things he does, and like Sol keeps telling and warning you about shit. And your just like well I'm gonna do what I want anyway. Brian and Sol's relationship was not 50/50 it was like 20/80 maybe 30/70. Sol tried, he did, and always put Brian first. I don't feel that Brian put Sol first with most of anything. Their love was not equal. I'm glad to have context to their love story but Ian is the better version to love Sol equally than Brian. I feel like Brian's death could have either been avoided or something could have changed if he stopped trying to just do everything and take a moment. Or maybe not idk that's my feels.
