No, the countess (Aria's mom) was a prostitue and coudn't remember the man who is Aria's father, who actually is the heir to a Duke in a different country (and he's also a son from the imperial family from the Empire)... soooo she has extremely high status actually, as a daughter from a Duke and a descedant belonging to a branch of the emperial family.
Well, the current countess was a prostitute and did the job with a lot of people. There was this man who was so beautiful, he seemed like a woman (Aria looks like the carbon copy of him according to the novel).
