Ahh. Here I come back to this insane story. I read it first a couple years ago and have not stopped thinking about it. No other manga compares. The psychological aspect, the tension, the dread of being trapped in a situation you hate, the MC’s mental break. It was all written and drawn so well. I really appreciate the mangaka for making such a story. I know the point is not to romanticize such abuse, but i felt the ending was akin to a Shakespearean tragedy. MC has stockholm syndrome and Hikaru remains obsessed with him. In the end they remain together in their own suffering. Relenting to each other, because at this point the only people who understand their inner darkness and pain is each other. Almost perfect.

Omg that was insane, I loved it!! Wished it wasnt so inconsistent and plot hole-y towards the end there, but I understand since its now been discontinued. I think the story would have also benefited if the little brother had a little bit more confidence in himself and defiance against being beat all the time lol.
BUT im nitpicking at that point! Overall i really REALLY REALLY enjoyed this story!! It’s unique and dark, it hooks you and takes you along for a ride! I absolutely loved how this artist drew their wounds and blood~ (˶‾ ⁻ ‾˵)و✧ I’m a sucker for semes and ukes with bruises and cuts hehe~ This artist’s artistic style is very expressive, the way she drew the eyes when the older brother was upset is 10/10 amazing talent! ヾ(☆▽☆) I love stories like this with taboo subjects and dark, gritty, angsty themes. What an interesting dark world the artist allowed us to read <3 I’m sad that the author discontinued this story, but I hope one day she can make another incredible story such as this!
