This reminds me of that sudden trend in Yuri in ICE fandom a couple years back where after the release of ep10 everyone kept writing ficsof Yuuri doing the same thing the uke did (drunk one night stands where he blacks out). I hated it so much lol. Though I would say this story's approach is logical, the uke realized that sleeping with strangers who may turn out to be stalkers (also there could be other issues like STDs) is risky and tried to fix the problem.
