tbh ur right, i have read the novel but in all honesty the uke is pretty fucking stupid and has absolutely zero self worth.. I mean he is pitiful and a lot of horrible things happened to the uke, but he doesn’t even get revenge or anything and never stops for a moment like „Hey, im a human, I should stop acting like a mindless pet and know my worth atleast a little“ but ohh noo he develops some kind of stockholm syndrome and neither does the seme get a redemption arc or anything like that. Uke just continues to act like a mindless whore until he eventually tries to off himself and survives, but the typical „losing memories“ card comes in LMFAO and the fucking seme takes advantage of this situation and starts loving him „normally“ afterwards and people interpret it as a „happy ending“. Btw Seme did all of this torture and humiliation etc because Uke didnt give his virginity to him as he was raped by Second lead seme and yeah. After the suicide attempt the 2 other seme just kinda vanish aswell.

lmfaooo this just justified my annoyance. thanks for the heads up btw. i normally dont get pissed off with these kinds of stories i swear its just the goddamn mc not thinking at all or doing anything to atleast try to squeak his way out. like i would respect it if it was him trying to get out of this situation and getting caught again and again, but the author made it really easy to dislike the mc by making him not do anything at all for several chapters. its just chapters of him being tortured and honestly who wants to see that..

You need to understand that he was manipulated for a long period of time, and not only that, he was financially dependant on the ml. It's completely understandable why he doesn't do that.

but I still agree with you. Seme had this all planned out from the very beginning when they met (I think they were like 15?) and since he not only became financially but emotionally dependent on him aswell, for example uke barely having friends except other 2 seme and only hanging out with them. Until the end he always waited for uke to crawl back to him (which most of the times he did) because he knew how uke was like. I am not excusing the behavior in any way and I fucking hate the seme so much, he has done more damage to uke than good you know? In the end of the novel, uke only defended himself one single time and it was irritating because the seme got „turned on“ by it. Atp the author was pmo aswell and a lot of other people too. Its understandable he developed stockholm syndrome but I just wish there were moments where he would properly defend himself (like at the time in the novel, where uke was actually living alone and not dependent on seme anymore) and it happened several times and he escaped, but sick seme would always find him, and it was just a loop all over again. I wish the author put some self defense on the uke at those times but he still didn’t which was sadly quite annoying. Like in almost 95% of the manhwas ukes are always seen as little babies and all that stuff and this manhwa isnt your typical bl manhwa but real psychological torture and more. Seeing him kinda step up for himself would have been a great representation but sadly not. Its also like the authors are obsessed with showing ukes as weak as possible, most of the time making them look like children so it becomes a stereotype as how people see and portray ukes. Nonetheless most of the people including me feel horrible for the uke and really pissed off at the seme because like there was barely any redemption arc if you can even call it… just very annoying from the author the way uke was displayed, even after all those years of experience and coming to the point where he was dependent on himself and didnt see seme for several years

hey, i am so sorry, I saw your comment and digged and more research for about an hour but I just can’t find it I read the novel a very long time ago, and I remember it was very hard to get. It was in korean only and I had also paid money for it back then so I self translated the novel with the help of a website. It was a lot of effort but I was just too curious about the ending. I am sorry once again. If I find something, i‘ll remind you~

bro ofc i know about irl scenarios like these and the difficulty the victim would be in. not stupid enough to victim blame irl i hate it when the topic skews to that direction when we arent even discussing abt irl people. but i was pointing out, and assumingly the person that replied, is that the author is insane for what they have created. this was also what i meant by "who wants to see that". the author is just making this story for masochists atp bc this is not entertaining anymore, idk what audience theyre catering to. so yea hating on the author for prolonging this torture the mc is in. didnt know i had to spell this out

It makes sense tho?? She doesn’t deem to have very fond memories every time she mentions the real world or her life as an actress. It sounds like she was tired and done of being an actress, always mentioning how fake and shallow the entertainment is but she’s just continuing it because she’s already deep into that profession. So imo it makes sense that she could easily let go of it.

it just seems like such a 180 from her character. sure she felt such in the industry but that didn't stop her. her resolve wasnt swayed when she entered this new world, even repeatedly saying how she wanted back to the place where she built her name from ground up. now it feels as if she threw away everything for love and will continue to rely on the guy (maybe until she makes a name for herself again). real cliché imo. but then again this is a romance genre, very common for stories to turn out this way

This story wasn’t really written well so I get why you feel that way, maybe if they showed her actually loving the new world or finding something in that new world that she actually loves doing then it would make more sense. Maybe she can start acting in a theater or something. For me it makes sense that she was able to let go as easily as she did given her opinion on the acting industry but it would be fun to see them going to korea, maybe with Calcion going into modeling to make a career.

Plus, it also makes sense because it wasn’t sure that they were going to make it out alive if they did jumped through the portal. She’s one of the two people who made it through the portal alive and the ML mentioned in the beginning that all he finds are bones of dead human while her assistant in korea also mentioned that there those who fell into the cliff with their bodies never been found, I assume those were the same people and they never made it through the portal alive. So it was a matter of did she love/desire her career that much that she’s able to sacrifice her life at the little chance of making it through alive? Or is she okay with living in a new world with a man who worships the ground she walks and just start making a name for herself? I personally think sacrificing my life for a toxic job that I’m getting tired of is just not me, even if I did worked all my life to succeed in it but that’s me.

yeah ur right, not to mention that even though she worked hard for it thru toxic environments it was more of a work thing and all the love she recieved was because of her “status” and job. while her life in the other world felt more of genuine love. I wish the author went more into her actress life, because all we’ve seen is the ppl who didnt really support her genuinely. So I get not wanting to get back into a job where ur gonna be stressing urself more than enjoying it, but i wished there was just more. It definitely felt abrupt and although im like “romance chemistry is mwah” its missing something idk
