I mean, that will happen sooner or later. The signs of being the ML is clear to the people but the early interactions of those two put people's hands in the air. They realized that in that time, their age is not appropriate and they are concerned that the romance will start that early.
But they need to chill as these things are not happening rn and the MC is so focus on her revenge that anything else. If ever there really are some romantic tension then they can proceed with their panik! But not now people, relax!

In chapter 6, there's a scene that is similar to chapter one but that ch 1 scene happened in their honeymoon so this scene from chapter 6 might be different and when they already meet at chapter 8, that scene from ch 6 must be their encounter that Courtney not remembered or forgotten or maybe she's drunk.
