In my point of view, I don't see it as offensive, why? Because its fiction. I don't think the author made it to offend someone. The author just borrowed some concepts to made this kind of world.
I don't know any cultures in here that the author made reference to irl but I don't think about it much. I'm not learning cultural history here. Since its a fantasy world, I don't want to relate it much on cultural level IRL.
You can educate people about your cultures if you want, to make people aware of the IRL cultures y'all talking about but please people ...

But you see, the little interaction, brief attraction to looks, and great interests on someone's talents may start of having romantic feelings to another person, so people who are traumatized with this kind troupe will definitely assumed that there's a romantic tension already even if there's none. I mean, that will happen sooner or later. The signs of being the ML is clear to the people but the early interactions of those two put people's hands in the air. They realized that in that time, their age is not appropriate and they are concerned that the romance will start that early.
But they need to chill as these things are not happening rn and the MC is so focus on her revenge that anything else. If ever there really are some romantic tension then they can proceed with their panik! But not now people, relax!
