no, I think @MargeTheFujoshi was talking about herself. There is a saying/common knowledge (in America) that chicken soup helps with the common cold, so by eating it you will get well faster. Or it maybe also because it fills you with warmth&nutrition and makes you feel happiness and love when you are at your weakest (sick and laying in bed) and it feels nice that others take care of you, it's shows that they care about you and your well-being(like making soup which takes long time just so you would get better sooner).
So what she was (probably) trying to say was: in this busy time filed with stress and "no time for fluffiness", this manga is like chicken soup for her unhappy and stress out soul by filling it with warmth and fluffiness and so healing it(▰˘◡˘▰)

we don't have that custom in my family, but if somebody is sick and grandma finds out, she will always make some soup (but almost never chicken one, because beef one is more common in my country) for the sick person. I know that custom and that chicken one is more common in America because of TV shows (always bringing some chicken soup to their sick loved ones or friends) and books like "Chicken soup for the teenage soul"(collections of stories for teenagers about growing up and the like, they also have different books for different "souls" like for moms etc., I recommend it, they are amazing).
