i think the ring thing mc (idk his name but the other guy calls him cheonma, which is heavenly demon) put on might strengthen/control his powers? not sure what exactly it does but it helps him in some way + the murim guy physically can't take it off since it repels him.

the murim guy, namgung jin (?), thinks that the ring helps restrain mc's sexual desire so that he doesn't lose his power since ngj heard that mc cultivated using a technique only virgins can use.

the murim alliance prepared ngj for their plan by teaching him how to do it with another guy (btw he reads a book which is a reference to author's other bl, "turn off the camera").
they gave him "martial arts artifacts" that are basically just *those* kinds of toys but special since this is a martial arts world... mc resists at first by using his powers to push ngj away so ngj ties mc up with red ropes that have smth to do with marriage (i'm guessing it's similar to red string of fate not really immortal binding ropes). he uses an electric whip on him, then uses some kind of special liquid as lube and a cold buttplug that can grow in size i think

fast forward to when they fuck, he realises that mc's energy isn't dissipating and that he can't break what i'm assuming is to be mc's core (like a core formed from qi). turns out the demonic sect elders from chapter 1 knew that the murim alliance would try to attack first and likely spread the rumour abt what method mc cultivates with. in reality, mc cultivated in a different way by absorbing yin energy to the point of "extreme yin" (?). yin is considered dark/evil energy but also feminine, which is probably why cheonma was never seen with women since their energies would clash or there's just no benefit.

ngj is the only descendant + successor of his clan (?) so he grew up consuming many elixirs to remain in top health, which boosted his yang energy, stamina, etc. instead of cheonma losing his cultivation, cheonma would be absorbing ngj's yang energy but they're both on par with each other so they ended up having the highest compatibility
the ring just disappears at some point maybe cuz of ngj's yang energy

after many rounds, mc gets fed up for being attacked like that so he grabs ngj's neck using his powers and says smth along the lines of "take responsibility you bastard". ngj says okay let's do that and kisses his hand.
in the end, they get married which unifies the murim alliance and demonic sect- no more conflict!! the elders even wish mc happiness lol
