I WANT TO REASSURE YALL, WE HAVE REACHED THE LOWEST POINT, IT'S ONLY UPHILL FROM HERE, THE LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL IS COMING
also since i'm a fucking masochist this was my favorite chapter of the season bc FINALLY. FINALLY HE ADMITS, AT LEAST TO HIMSELF, THAT HE LOVES WOLFGANG. my emotional blue balls were finally cured

EMOTIONAL PAYOUT, that's the term i was looking for, king's maker is so good at delivering on that sweet, sweet emotional payout, it never disappoints, the worst feeling is trudging through drama and anxiety only for the resolution to be fucking DISSATISFYING
king's maker would never betray its build-up

u kno who i feel most sorry for? haesoo's poor fucking mom. and by extension probably joowons dad. ya think they didn't wanna have a nice happy life with easy resolutions to straightforward conflicts? idk if i'd call pseudo-incest a "hindrance" so much as the gigantic elephant skeleton that doesn't fit in the closet so it's just stood in the middle of the living room. if this chapter was supposed to make me feel sympathy for the two male leads..... welp.

Yeah, I feel so bad for their parents. You get the sense that they still are in love with each other but this pseudo incest really fucked up the relationship. The mom didn't want to shock the dad and make him look poorly on his son so she shouldered ALL OF THAT and ended their relationship. I feel for her so much and we barely see her.

Hmmm could develop feelings later? They used to be married. They divorced because of the situation with their children, not because of each other. So some feelings should be still there?
I don't know but Joowon's father gives off rather not so nice vibes. He looks like calculated man, who hides behind his fake smiles.

But imo they should have had mature conversation about their situation. What Joowon and Haesoo did was wrong but ...
Slapping, screams and guilt tripping for next years (or pretending I don't know anything). Or sending Haesoo's away as a solution.... Is also nothing to be praised.
I'm not sure why Joowon's father pretended he didn't know for all these years instead of supporting his wife so she wouldn't feel so lonely and guilty with that knowledge.
the biggest joke isn't the title, it's japan having too high of a birthrate problem
