The purpose was clearly to make you feel worse about her being rejected. Anna's only purpose was to make you feel bad for her. But yeah, this was trash. I hope Lily get her bad ending in the next chapter. She managed to make the single worst protagonist of any yuri story ever in the form of Lily. That is something at least.
