Who’s ashen again??? Bc I have an ass memory so I thought the guy in the carriage w Damien was the butler that lucia was just talking to

Ashen is one of the Duke’s secretaries. Don’t mistake him with Fabian, Jerome’s twin brother and the Duke’s right hand man. Ashen doesn’t appear much and the only thing you need to know about him is that he
responsible of taking care of Damien and giving the Duke weekly reports about Damien when he is at the academy.

A v wordy chapter that I barely understood- pls can someone explain the assimilation thing in simpler words and the culling game??

Okay I'd to re-read it and I might be wrong but I understood that kamotoshi wants every human to evolve into a jujujtsu sorcerer ig? And to do that every humans need to assimilate with tengen. Merge kind of thing ig? That's possible because tengen exist everywhere. The culling game is just a ritual for the assimilating thing. And tengen can't reject the assimilating because after evolving he has become more like a curse. And kamotoshi has a technique called cursed manipulation. By eating tengen he can control him. So the rescue team will go and play the game. The 6th rule says that they can add a rule after gaining 100 points so they will use that to add some rules into the game. In short nothing would've happen if Gojo wouldn't have been sealed lol

Umm.. why did they decide to use the r word?? Especially coming from the official translations too...

by saying “why change it or sugar coat it,” you are essentially saying that there is no issue with it being said in this way. i’m not accusing you of agreeing with the use here, but you are contributing to its normalization. it’s important to notice these things and call them out. i don’t see any reason as to why it has to be used here.

That's not how it works, you're implying that a person with disabilities can't defend for themselves. You're adding more to the problem by telling abled people need other people to speak for them. It's not normalizing anything, so before you act like some savor towards abled people try not to speak for them and call people "ableist" just because they have a different perspective from you.

i never called you ableist did i? i’ve talked to people on the spectrum and those with disabilities and they prefer people to speak up about it. people always have an issue with others standing up for something wrong, calling them ‘saviors.’ what’s wrong with u? i never accused u of anything and answered ur question. i myself am not comfortable with it, so i mentioned it.

Accusing me of normalizing the word 'retard' is essentially accusing me of being an "ableist". Own up to that. And I don't think you understood what I meant or what I tried to convey. Those people who have an issue with 'certain' people who stand up for others; it's not the issue of what they do, but how they do it. Which makes the many people that are being stood up for are truly embarrassed by it. I've talked with many people with all sorts disabilities that hate that savior complex bs that many people on the internet being having these days, and, honestly don't give a shit about others using retard in any scenario. That word makes you uncomfortable -I understand that, I get that- I have several words that make me uncomfortable too. But there's a difference between you and I when comes to that -I don't police and/or shame others for using those words that makes us uncomfortable. This terrible trend of policing what others should/n't say or pressuring them to believe or what not to believe (not saying you've done it) really needs to stop at some point. The meaning of words change over time, so how you, I, or anyone else view the word retard is utterly meaninglessness. Getting offended over the word being used in this [mature] comic and addressing it does absolutely nothing and no changes are made.

just because it is a mature comic does not mean it’s ok to use. i dont see any reason why it has to be used. i never shamed you, did i? i simply stated that you were normalizing the word. i cant control if u say the word or not, so i’m not/can’t policing you. aside from that, words DO hold meaning. i am not sure if i am understanding your point, but u are basically saying that peoples’ opinions of words is meaningless. these words, or SLURS have been used derogatorily for years. that’s why its meaning and those affected’s opinions matter. just because its meaning may change over time does not erase the harm it has done, which i am sure u know. it is still being used today, and having it in a manhwa let’s people think it is a normal and ok word to use. yes, i really do not have a say here, i admit. i went about it wrong, but my point still stands. i cannot say that every disabled and neurodivergent person disagrees with the word use, but it also can not be said that every person “doesn’t give a shit about others using the word.” i just simply think that it doesn’t have to be used here. ultimately, my and your opinion do not matter on this. it is up to disabled and neurodivergent people. have a good day <3

Ha ha ha. Funny. I just love it when certain people think they've made valid points and just end the argument like they've done something noble. First off, when it comes to a mature comic, you're gonna HAVE to expect expect mature themes/offensive language in the comic, whether you like it or not -whether you find reason in it or not. So there should be no surprise there. Second, yes you did shame me and that was for the "contribution to normalizing it [the word]", which I still don't get how I am doing that. Third, of course words have meaning. I never said they didn't. What I was trying to get at is that our personal views on the word, whether it's used negatively, positively, etc,. holds no deep meaning since the meaning of that particular word gradually changes over time. For example, 'bitch'. Bitch was originally used as a term for a female dog, but over time has developed into an offensive word to describe people (especially women) in a negative connotation. But recently, people in all sorts of situations; such as women addressing their female friends as bitches to show a form of endearment.
Words hurt, and you know why? Because we allow them to. Someone my come up to me and call me a nigger for whatever reason, but it's up to me to decide whether I let that word get to me and allow that person to have any sort of power over me, or, I can laugh right in their stupid ass face and move on. Words have meaning because in our minds, we created that meaning. Words have power simply because we put power into those words. That's what people, including those with mental and physical disabilities, gonna have to understand at some point of their lives. Trying to cancel it, censor it, gate-keep it for certain individuals to say, or them having the say so if people outside of their community
can say it or not doesn't help anyone in the long run.
I hope you have a fabulous day as well.
im losing my mind rn
