Summary from my memory- just like any other isekai manhwa, the MC became some character from a book, her boss is a villain or was the 2nd lead smth like that idk, someone tried poisoning him but the MC stopped it bc it happened in the book. Uhhh he thinks she was the one who tried to poison him so he locks her up and has her prove her innocence by having her drink the poison but it just turned her into a kid for some reason? Stuff happened and now she has to be adopted by some dangerous assassin family and they’re making her do some tests to see if they should actually adopt her.
pretty sure the issue is the translations, they don't make much sense...
No, I read the novel and it really is like this. If you say it all at once like that then it really doesn't make sense...but if you go step by step, you can follow the logic.
1 - FL is reincarnated into a novel. Gets a job because being the homeless child of a drunk sucks. Happens to like working for ML because the pay is good, there's work benefits, and no harassment.
2 - Novel heroine is grumpy that ML doesn't love her. Decides to poison him because she's a psychopath. She's nobility with ties to the Church and therefore can get away with murdering the ML, since it benefits the Empire (also she's sleeping with the prince).
3 - Every servant will be executed as coconspirators if the ML is poisoned. FL stops ML from drinking the poison and is accused of being the assassin.
4 - FL decides to drink the poison to prove her innocence because it only kills those with high magical ability, and should only make her sick a few days. The poison turns the FL into a little girl instead, which was a super-unlikely possible side effect of the poison.
5 - ML ends engagement with his would-be murderer and decides to marry the FL instead as a "reward."
6 - ML can't marry a kid so he has to go to the only person who can cure the FL (since the poison doesn't wear off FL would be a child for life). Since the process of curing her could take years it's best if the family adopts her, and he offers the mine they wanted as a bride price.
7 - FL takes those tests to be officially accepted into the family (both the man's sons also took these tests before--including the adopted one--so it's not special treatment, just insane).
